Chen Hongshou, whose real name is Gong, is Man Sheng, also known as Lao Man, Gong Shou, Man Gong, Man Gong, Jia Gu Tingchang, a Taoist who planted elm trees, a native of Yuyuan Garden, and a native of Qiantang, Zhejiang. Exquisite ancient prose, exquisite calligraphy, and good at drawing plums. When he was a magistrate in Liyang, he made a teapot out of Yixing clay and engraved it with an inscription, which was called "Man Sheng Pot". The winner regarded it as a treasure.
On the basis of imitating Ding Jing's seal cutting, Chen Hongshou took part in the Chinese method, and his seal cutting techniques were vigorous, bold and vigorous, and his stippling was dynamic, which made Zhejiang School look brand-new and became one of the "Eight Schools of Xiling". He is six years younger than Chen Yuzhong and is known as "Chen Er".
