"Shi Chenbei" is a monument carved in the second year of Jianning in the Eastern Han Dynasty (169), also known as "the monument before and after Chen Shi". Without the writer's name, it belongs to Lishu calligraphy, and now it is in the exhibition hall of Tibetan, Han and Wei steles.
"Shi Chenbei" is a round-headed tablet with a forehead of 34 cm and no words. The monument is173.5cm high, 85cm wide and 23.5cm thick. The memorial tablet is carved on both sides, facing east and facing the sun. It is commonly known as "Qianbei" and "Luchen Confucius Temple". , and published "Lu Chen's Confucius Memorial Table", followed by 24 four-word inscriptions 12 rhyme;
It faces the west and the dark side, commonly known as the "back monument", also known as the "Chen Lukong Temple Monument" and so on. , and describes Chen Shi's deeds after taking office, such as offering sacrifices to holes in the temple, repairing walls to decorate houses, dredging ditches, planting street trees, setting up markets, etc. Together with Yiling Monument and Book of Rites Monument, they are called "Three Monuments of Confucius Temple".
His calligraphy is subtle and vigorous, elegant and agile, with a structure of glance left and right, up and down, well-proportioned density, cadence, natural ups and downs of charm, flying streamer and full of interest.
