How to draw orchids

Orchid painting steps:

(1) Drawing method of flower head:

Soak a medium-sized Beijing pen (doubled both brush pen with sheep hair and wolf hair) with a big red color, adjust the color in the palette to make the color penetrate into the root of the pen, then dip the pen tip with rouge color, and then stipple the picture after a little reconciliation. The traditional method of counting peonies is one stroke after another, and the whole flower head is composed of dots from thick to light. After the flower head is finished, when the color is not dry, adjust the junction of the flower heart and the petals with the heavy color of rouge and ink to make the handover of the petals clear and vivid. When the color is 7% to 8% dry, use azurite to color the stamens, and then use Garcinia to adjust the white powder to color the stamens. When you order stamens, you should order them according to the organizational structure of three strokes, and never order them at will without organization.

(2) Painting method of orchid flowers:

The painting method of flowers and flower heads is similar, but the difference is that flowers have calyx and stipules. When painting, we must consider the whole flower to make calyx and stipules an organic whole of flower heads.

(3) Drawing method of orchid leaves:

Dip a medium-sized pen in the light green of floral green and gamboge, adjust the balance on the color palette, dip the pen tip in ink, slightly mix it to make the ink color and the original color on the pen blend, and draw the leaves neatly on the screen with the side edge. Draw the leaves in groups, and draw them in groups of three strokes at regular places, so that the drawn leaves will not be messy. The charm of freehand brushwork is not only manifested in vivid brushstrokes and lively images, but also in moist colors and dripping ink, so you should master the skills of using water and color when painting leaves. When starting a pen, the color ink should be saturated, and the next pen should be swift. Draw a leaf with one color, so that from the beginning to the end of the pen, the dry and wet shades will naturally change. After the leaf color ink stippling is completed, when it is dried to 7% or 8%, outline the vein with heavier ink (color). Hooking the vein is an important step, which determines the turning back and organizational structure of the blade, so we should adjust it from the overall structure of the picture, not just from the local consideration.

(4) Drawing method of orchid branches:

Under normal circumstances, compared with flower heads and leaves, branches account for a small proportion in the picture, but their importance should never be underestimated when drawing, and they should not be sketched at will. Only by understanding their structural rules and growth characteristics can they show the different textures of trunk and young leaves when drawing.
