Who is Mrs Wei's teacher?
Wei Shuo, also known as Mrs. Wei, was a famous calligrapher in Jin Dynasty. His name was Mao Yi (AD 272-349), and he was from Anyi, Hedong (now Xiaxian North, Shanxi). Wei Shuo was the wife of Li Moment, the prefect of Ruyin (now Fuyang, Anhui), and was called Mrs. Wei. Wei Jiashi wrote calligraphy, and Wei Shuo was also good at official script. Mrs Wei studied under Zhong You, and her teaching method was wonderful. Wang Xizhi studied calligraphy from him when he was young, and Mrs. Wei was the first teacher of Wang Xizhi, a "book saint".
