Kuang Lu's Guqin Heritage

Kuang Lu is not only a poet and calligrapher, but also good at guqin. He is a pianist of noble character.

He treasured two famous pianos all his life, one is Nanfeng (once the treasure of Zhao Yun's inner government, now in Shandong Provincial Museum), and the other is Qingqitai. According to Qu Dajun's Guangdong Xinyu, Green Qitai was once owned by Zhu Houzun, a military leader, and later given to Minister Liu, who returned it to Kuanglu in the late Ming Dynasty. According to the report, Luqitai, Chunlei, Qiubo and Tianxiang are known as the "four famous pianos" in Lingnan and enjoy a high reputation in the piano industry.

Kuang Lu always takes two pianos with him when he travels. Sometimes when he is poor, he temporarily puts them in a pawnshop and redeems them when he has money. Therefore, there is a saying in his poems that "there are pianos on all sides, but they don't return". In the seventh year of Shunzhi, the Qing soldiers attacked Guangzhou, and Kuanglu died calmly holding the piano.

After Kuang Lu was martyred, Qin was robbed by Qing soldiers and sold in the market, and was collected by Ye Longwen, a native of Guishan (now Huiyang), for 100 gold. One day, Ye went boating on the lake and invited the scribes to get together. Ye held out the green platform. When all the people saw the relics of the first dynasty, they were filled with tears and wrote poems on the spot. Among them, Qu Dajun's works were the most popular, and one of them said, "My friend is loyal to the present, but the first dynasty is different." During the reign of Emperor Kangxi, the famous poet Wang Shizhen (Yu Yang) also wrote a poem "Hai Xue freak holds the piano, Zhu Xian is more and more lingering" to chant Kuanglu. Later, this piano was preserved by Ye Longwen's descendants for several generations. At the end of Daoguang, Ye Jia was unable to redeem the piano in the pawnshop because of poverty, and was bought by Zhang, a native of Dongguan.

Zhang is a famous family in Guancheng, a descendant of a famous anti-Qing scholar, and the owner of Dongguan Keyuan, one of the four famous gardens in Guangdong. After he got the Green Chyi Chin, he specially built the "Green Arcade" in Keyuan as a treasure. Later, in the early years of the Republic of China, the Zhang family fell, and the piano was sold to this city because it was damaged beyond repair.

Deng Erya is an outstanding calligrapher and seal engraver. He had contact with the Zhang family of Keyuan and knew the meaning of this piano. Therefore, although he got a rotten piano, it was regarded as his life. 1944, the "green orchard" in Tai Po was destroyed by a typhoon, and even a large number of books and cultural relics collected by Deng were destroyed. The green orchard rescued from the ruins is safe and sound. Deng Erya thought it was a miracle, and then moved to Kowloon to settle the famous piano. Until Deng died, he still ordered his family to put the piano on the bed and touch the last breath.

Behind Deng Erya, the piano is still in the hands of his family. He tried to sell it several times because of financial difficulties. At first, he wanted to buy a house in the city, but it fell through because the price was not harmonious. In recent years, it has been reported that the price is 4 million Hong Kong dollars.

Kuanglu's former residence is in Xianlin Lane next to Wuxian Temple.
