Parallel prose is a literary style in ancient China, which is characterized by neat antitheses, harmonious pronunciation, and gorgeous rhetoric. Su Shi was a writer, calligrapher and painter in the Northern Song Dynasty. His literary achievements were mainly reflected in poetry, prose and lyrics.
Although Su Shi also wrote some parallel prose works, the number of his parallel prose works is relatively small, and the quality is not as good as his poetry and prose. Therefore, it is generally believed that Su Shi was not good at parallel prose.
