What's the difference between Wang Xizhi's Preface to Lanting and Yan Zhenqing's Sacrifice to My Nephew?
On March 3rd, the 9th year of Yonghe in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (AD 353), 41 people, including Wang Xizhi, Xie An and Sun Chuo, wrote Poems in Yinshan Lanting (now Shaoxing, Zhejiang). At the meeting, Wang Xizhi wrote a preface for their poems. The preface narrates the beauty of the landscape around Lanting and the joy of gathering, and expresses the author's feelings of impermanence of life and death. The Handed down Book of Fattie, with 28 lines and 324 words, is his masterpiece at the age of 50, with perfect composition, structure and brushwork. Later generations commented that "the font of the right army has changed. Its heroic spirit is natural, so it is considered to be a model from ancient times to the present. " Therefore, calligraphers of all ages called Lanting "the best calligraphy in the world". And "Sacrifice to My Nephew Ji Ming Draft" is a flat draft of Yan Zhenqing's memorial to his nephew Yan Jiming; After Gao Qing and Ji Ming were killed, Zhenqing sent someone to look for Ji Ming's skull. He made sacrifices to his brothers and nephews for the Sanhe and Yanshi families who died heroically for the country. He was full of loyalty and indignation, and his feelings between pens flooded in, ignoring the clumsiness of writing, and his heroism was reflected in his works. A large number of dead pens in the text are more vigorous and smooth; For example, the surging river flows thousands of miles-between the lines, there is grief and indignation, and between the lines, there is a person-the author has no intention of Yoga Yu, but writes with high spirit, posture, magnificent brushwork and extraordinary personality.
