Ren Xuehong, born in 1971, is from Maozi Township, Dingbian. A student of the 1989 class of Dingbian Middle School, he graduated from Suzhou Silk Institute of Technology in 1993 with a bachelor's degree in engineering. After graduation, he taught in the Department of Textile Engineering of Jiangnan University and was named a lecturer in 1999. In the same year, he was admitted to the postgraduate program in Textile Chemistry at the School of Materials Engineering of Suzhou University and received a master's degree in engineering in 2002. In the same year, he was admitted as a doctoral candidate by the Graduate School of Auburn University in the United States and received a full scholarship. He received his doctorate in 2006.
After graduation, he joined the organic chemistry research group of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Auburn University as a postdoctoral researcher. After graduating as a postdoctoral fellow, he held an American Outstanding Scientific Talent Visa granted by the U.S. government and worked as a product development scientist for an antibacterial biomaterials company. He is a member of the American Chemical Society, the American Society of Textile Chemists and Colorists, and the American Fiber Society.
Male, Han nationality, born on March 19, 1967 in Shenkou Village, Wumaozi, Dingbian County, Shaanxi Province. He is currently the director of the Education Bureau of Yulin City, Shaanxi Province.
Shen Xiaogong has been smart since he was a child and has excellent academic performance in primary and secondary schools. In the early 1980s when the high school admission rate was extremely low, Shen Xiaogong successfully passed the high school entrance examination of Dingbian Middle School.
In the 1986 college entrance examination, Shen Xiaogong was admitted to the English Department of Yan'an University for a three-year semester. During these three years, Shen Xiaogong studied hard and his English level improved by leaps and bounds. It is said that he was able to communicate fluently with foreigners. In September 1989, Shen Xiaogong graduated from university and was assigned to teach at Dingbian Middle School. Due to his excellent professional skills and good writing skills, six years later, in January 1995, he was transferred to the Dingbian County Government Office and served successively as Clerk, deputy director of the office and chief of the security section of government agencies; in March 2003, served as party committee secretary of Bainijing Town, Dingbian County.
While serving as the Secretary of the Party Committee of Bainijing Town, a delegation from the Yulin Municipal Government visited Bainijing Town to inspect the work. Due to Shen Xiaogong’s effective work, remarkable results and talent, he was transferred to Yulin City in April 2007. Shen Xiaogong likes calligraphy. I heard it was also well written. In October 2019, Director Shen, accompanied by personnel from the Dingbian Education Bureau, came to inspect the school in his hometown. As a teacher of the school calligraphy club, I had close contact with the largest official I had ever seen for the first time. The small calligraphy classroom is filled with what I call “works”. I saw the poorness of my calligraphy work from Director Shen's frown.

? Wumao, a remote mountain village with only 138 households and a population of more than 600, has given birth to many characters. Of course, in addition to the above four, many other characters emerged before and after Wumao. Since I don’t know or recognize them or it’s inconvenient to interview them, I won’t list them one by one here.
?When I was young, I had no contact with any characters and felt that they were far away. When I entered my forties, I finally became an ordinary person who existed like dust. Now that I have really come into contact with the characters, they feel even more distant.
By chance, I came into contact with Shen Xiaogong, a figure in Wu Mao. I was envious and admired him greatly. Because they are so different from each other, I don’t know any of the above four people, and I don’t know the specific details of their life experiences and the reasons for them. I will write down some of their experiences to encourage myself.
In December, Director Shen’s mother passed away in Yangjing’s hometown. By some strange combination of circumstances, I was instructed by the principal to go to his hometown to help. The task is to write elegiac couplets and obituaries. I deeply feel that small talents can make a big difference. You know, not to mention the twelve counties of Yulin, even the central and central borders, there are so many people who are above me.
