Famous towns in Mengmen Province

In 2009, the People's Government of Shanxi Province announced Mengmen Town as the third batch of "Famous Historical and Cultural Towns in Shanxi Province". Although the present Mengmen Town belongs to Liulin County, the adjacent Linxian Qiaokou is a commercial town in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and Wubao, Shaanxi, which is across the river, is a county, but as far as "ancient" is concerned, all three are just little brothers in front of Mengmen, and even all three have belonged to Mengmen.

As early as 4000 years ago, Mengmen was the place where Dayu in Kyushu was built to stop water and control water. More than two thousand years ago, the famous Taoist temple was built, which gradually became a tourist attraction, and many emperors will come here. In 500 BC, Confucius, who was honored as a "saint" by feudal rulers of past dynasties, came to visit with his disciples Ran Qiu, Yan Yuan, mistakenly thinking that waterway people were world-weary, and almost made a feat of giving their lives to save others. Mengmen has almost become the heroic sacrifice place of "Chinese Wen Sheng". Another monarch of the state of Jin personally led hundreds of civil and military officials to the Yellow River to cry and offer sacrifices. Decades later, Sanqing was divided into Jin, and Han Kang, the great-grandson of Zhao Engong and Han Jue, was saved as (now Liulin Mengmen) and named as Lin. Thus, the Lin family began, and Mengmen was the birthplace of the Lin family in China.

In the more than one hundred years before the Qin Dynasty unified China, Mengmen was a veritable battleground for military strategists. Zhao, Wei and Qin Wei fought for Linyi, and dozens of wars broke out. In 393 BC, Wei Wuhou sailed down the river after a long journey and proudly said to commander Wu Qi, "The mountains and rivers are dangerous and solid, how magnificent." Wu Qi said to him, "If you don't cultivate yourself, everyone on board is an enemy." Became a famous sentence through the ages. In 3 13 BC, "Qin pulls me to rush". King Wuling of Zhao, who had been riding and shooting angrily for six years, went to the west river and said, "I took the forest, the high wolf and the defeated forest first, but I failed." After Wang Xiang of Qinzhuang reclaimed the forest, he named Nanshan Mountain, which is still in use today. In the third year of Yuanshuo, the talented Emperor Wudi of the Han Dynasty offered sacrifices to Fenyang, toured the counties on the east side of the Yellow River, and became the prince of the imperial clan, which formed two five-year histories in the history of Mengmen. Six-year-old Zhou Jingdi was ordered by his grandfather Sui Wendi to set up Dinghu County in today's Mengmen. Two years later, Emperor Wendi of Sui Dynasty compiled the memorial of Sun Tzu, unified the whole world into the Sui Dynasty, and set up the Mengmen Pass. Li Shimin, the son of Emperor Taizong of Tang Dynasty, has a soft spot for Mencius. In six years, it was renamed Mengmen County, Mengmen Town and Dinghu County from Xidingzhou. 13 years, Zhenguan visited Mengmen again, inscribed "The First Jungle in the West of Shanxi" in Nanshan, and ordered Weichi Gong to supervise the construction of "Baiting Temple", which is the Nanshan Temple in Mengmen today. According to folklore, Zhu Yuanzhang, the son of Ming Taizu who galloped on the battlefield, was a monk in Nanshan Temple when he was a child. The legend of "cornucopia" has been passed down to this day. Poets such as Li Shimin of Emperor Taizong, Wang Tingjun of Jin Dynasty and Fu Shan of Qing Dynasty also left poems praising Nanshan Temple. Zhao Lisheng, a famous historian and educator, also visited Mengmen. From June 5th to February 5th, 2003, Vice Premier Hui Liangyu of CPC The Politburo Standing Committee (PSC) and the State Council visited Mengmen, Wang Naikun, Hu, Liu Zhenhua, Tian Chengping,,,, Dong Hongyun, Jin, Cheng Xifeng and other famous experts, scholars and professors at home and abroad such as Liu, Tao Siyan and Lou Deping. Famous calligraphers, painters, writers, photographers, paper-cutting artists, universities (such as Tsinghua University, Tongji University, Northwest University, Shanxi University, Taiyuan University of Technology, etc. ), organs, units, organizations inside and outside the province, CCTV, Shanxi TV, China Yellow River TV, Seoul TV, People's Daily, China Education News, China Finance News and many other media and reporters came to Mongolia for interviews.
