History of Xi 'an China Calligraphy Art Museum

In September 2004, after the establishment of the Xi 'an City Wall Scenic Area Management Committee, the museum including Guangmen Site was relocated, and in May 2009, it was placed under the management of Qujiang New District in Xi 'an City together with Xi 'an City Wall Scenic Area.

June 20 10, in response to the call of Xi' an to build a "museum city", the new site was moved to the southwest corner of the Nangong wall of Daming Palace, with a total area of 3,300 square meters and a total investment of more than 40 million yuan. Designed by Liu Kecheng, Dean of Xi University of Architecture and Technology, the whole site is a steel frame structure with black, white and gray as the main colors. There are two local floors and one negative floor, which consists of eight areas, namely, China Calligraphy Brief History Exhibition Area, Tang Dynasty Calligraphy Special Exhibition Area, Calligraphy Archaeological Achievements Exhibition Area, Calligraphy Four Treasures of the Study Exhibition Area, Nangongbi Site Appreciation Area, Chinese and Foreign Characteristic Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition Area, Calligraphy Seal Cutting Interactive Experience Area and Artists Avenue of Stars. It has a collection of more than 2,000 calligraphy cultural relics and works by famous calligraphers, not only from China, but also from Japanese, Korean and Singaporean artists. It is an important position to inherit and protect China's calligraphy and seal cutting, a member of Xi 'an Qujiang "Museum City" construction, one of the top ten typical tourist attractions of Daming Palace National Heritage Park, Xi 'an Youth Calligraphy Education and Training Base, China Calligraphy Archaeological Exchange and Exhibition Center, and a designated training institution for China Calligraphy and Painting Grade Examination.
