Brief introduction of Qingsong Pass in Hong Kong

Qingsongguan, founded in 1950, belongs to the Longmen Sect of Quanzhen religion, and the Taoist Sect dates back to Zhibaotai in Guangzhou, Guangdong. The school was initially built in Wei Qing Street, Kowloon, and 1952 was moved to Nathan Road. 1960 purchased Qilinwei, Castle Peak, Tuen Mun, to establish a permanent viewing area, 1974 added a viewing area in Da 'nan Street, Kowloon, to tie in with the ancestral development of Tuen Mun.

Tuen Mun Ancestral Temple is not only a religious place where believers and Taoist couples get together to participate in Taoism, but also a Taoist shrine visited by Chinese and foreign tourists and Hong Kong citizens. Guang Mao, a garden in the pass, has magnificent temples, magnificent flowers, pavilions and ponds and beautiful scenery; The building is centered on Chunyang Baotang, dedicated to three generations of icons of Lv Chunyang, Wang Zhongyang and Qiu Changchun.

In the early days of its spontaneous development, Qingsongguan was mainly engaged in charity. In addition to religious services, according to the needs of the social situation in Hong Kong at that time, it also set up social welfare charity services such as compulsory study, food delivery, medical delivery, disaster relief materials, warm clothes and quilts for men and women, and nursing homes. In the past 50 years, two western medicine clinics, two Chinese medicine clinics, care and attention homes, elderly centers, two middle schools, two primary schools and three kindergartens have been established with the approval of Hong Kong. It further promoted the good cause of Qingsongguan to help the world.

After Chinese mainland's reform and opening-up, Qingsongguan strengthened its ties with the Taoist circles in China. 1994 and 1996 donated more than RMB 5 million twice, which was distributed to nearly 200 Taoist temples by the Chinese Taoist Association for restoration and maintenance. For the restoration and reconstruction of Taoist temples in other provinces and cities, Qingsongguan also generously helped, especially 1993, which invested in the reconstruction of Huanglong Ancient Temple in Luofu Mountain, Guangdong Province, and became a story for a while.

In promoting Taoism, Qing Songguan established the Hong Kong Taoist Institute in 199 1, the Quanzhen Taoist Research Center in 2002 and the Songqing Publishing House in 2004, which played a positive role in promoting the academic research, dissemination and training of Taoist talents. Since 1994, Hong Kong Taoist Institute and Quanzhen Taoist Research Center have cooperated with famous universities (Sichuan University, Peking University, Sun Yat-sen University, Chinese University of Hong Kong, etc.) and held many academic seminars, which not only improved the atmosphere of Taoist academic research, but also created a precedent for Taoist cultural research between Hong Kong and the mainland and even the world. In addition, Hongdao, Hong Kong Daoism, Research on Taoist Culture, Series of Hong Kong Taoist Institute, Series of Quanzhen Daoism Research Center, Notes on the Book of Changes in Qingsong Collection, Xuanmen Collection, etc. are all achievements published by Qingsong Museum in recent years, and they are also important media to promote Taoist culture.
