He was awarded a series of honorary titles, such as People's Painter, Contemporary Master, Contributor of Chinese Renaissance, Artist with Outstanding Contributions from Chinese in the World (the highest gold medal), China Literature and Art Award, Calligraphy Art Quality Gold Award, and Olympic Humanities and Art Outstanding Achievement Award. His works have been included in Classic of People's Artists, Collection of China's Paintings and Calligraphy, and National Dictionary of China Calligraphers.
During New Year's Day in 2004, Huang Yun Painting and Calligraphy Museum in Yangchun held 92 individual painting and calligraphy exhibitions.
In 2005, he was awarded the honorary title of "China Famous Painter".
In May, 2006, he passed the work assessment of China Experts Association and was awarded the certificate of "China People's * * * and State-owned Outstanding Contribution Expert" and the title of Senior Artist.
