As a minority in China, why doesn't the Hui nationality have its own language?

This should start with the formation of the Hui nationality. As one of the ethnic minorities in China, the Hui nationality was formed in the Tang Dynasty. This is the latest ethnic group among many ethnic minorities in China. Fundamentally speaking, the Hui nationality is not an indigenous nationality in China, and there are similar nationalities such as the Russian nationality. The difference is that the Russian nationality has its own subject overseas, while the Hui nationality, as a newly formed nation, has no such subject overseas.

The ancestors of the Hui nationality came from Arab countries and entered China by water and land respectively. This is also the reason why Hui compatriots are now concentrated in coastal cities such as the northwest and Quanzhou, Fujian. Most of these Arabs entering our country are businessmen engaged in economic and trade activities. Because they often traveled back and forth between the Tang Dynasty (Chang 'an) and the Arabian Peninsula countries, people called them "Hui"-this is not a derogatory term, but just shows the state of their frequent travel.

Later, a considerable number of Arab businessmen settled in Chang 'an and other places, lived in harmony with other local ethnic groups, married each other and gradually formed a new ethnic group. People used their previous names, which is the origin of the names of Hui people.

Due to this historical reason and ethnic origin, China Hui compatriots widely use Chinese (local dialect), while Arabic is used in religious activities. This is the reason why Hui compatriots do not have their own national language. Because from the root, the ancestors of the Hui nationality are Arabs, and they already have a fairly mature civilization (writing), so there is no need to create new writing.

However, the Chinese used by Hui compatriots is slightly different from that commonly used by Han people. This is mainly manifested in the fact that a large number of Arabic words and Persian words have been transliterated and borrowed by Hui compatriots. If you are not from this nation, you probably can't tell clearly. For example, the word "East Asia" comes from Persian. The meaning is equivalent to what we Han people often call "Shi Yang" and "the world", and sometimes it has the derivative meaning of "the whole world". For example, people like you have never seen it on the East Cliff.

As a member of the Chinese nation, Hui compatriots have emerged many famous figures in history, such as the great navigator Zheng He. There is also a great calligrapher, Mi Fei, who is also considered by some experts to be a Hui nationality. During the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, there was also a famous "Hui detachment", which fought bravely with other brotherly peoples to resist Japanese aggression.
