Pangegezhuang Village was the hometown of the famous Qing Dynasty prime minister Liu Tongxun and the famous calligrapher Liu Yong. With the current development and village expansion, most of Liu Tongxun's former residences no longer exist.
Panggezhuang, formerly known as Pangguzhuang, is surrounded by ridges on both sides in the southeast, Weihe River in the west, and Chengyin City in the north. The Zhangyang River meanders through the east side of Panggezhuang. It is said that Cao, The second surname Han lived here and formed a village. Later, due to war and other reasons, the residents fled and moved away. At the end of the Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, the surname Pang moved to live in the village. During the Hongzhi period of the Ming Dynasty, the surname Liu moved in. By the early Qing Dynasty, the Liu family became a famous family. The official family is the former residence of Liu Tongxun, Liu Yong and his son. In March 1946, the area where Panggezhuang was located was placed under the jurisdiction of Gaomi County from Zhucheng County.
