Research value
Among Yan Zhenqing's representative works, The Monument to Many Pagodas contains great literary value.
1. The stele body is written in a thick way, and the stone is hard and delicate. It is carved with a straight knife and deep method, so it is still intact after hammering for more than 1000 years, with clear words and bright eyes. Except this stone tablet was broken in Kangxi period, there are no inscriptions and doubtful words, which is very beneficial for appreciating Yan Shu, collating inscriptions and researching the spread of rubbings of various generations.
Secondly, Cen Can, the author of the inscription, and Xu Wangkui, the patron of Duota, got one or two life stories after consulting historical records, which may make up for the lack of historical records.
Third, the inscriptions can prove each other with the same clan fees, which are monuments and Buddhist documents.
