Fan Dacheng, Song Dynasty

Fan Dacheng (also known as Fan Chengda) (1126-1193), courtesy name Zhineng, also known as Shihu Jushi, was a native of Suzhou in the Song Dynasty. He is as famous as Lu You, Yang Wanli and You Miao in poetry, and they are collectively known as the "Four Great Masters of the Southern Song Dynasty". From an official position, he was involved in political affairs and became a bachelor of Zizhengdian. He was once ordered to send an envoy to Jin State. He was strong and unyielding and fulfilled his mission. He was almost killed. The poems written by Shi Jin on the way expressed his strong patriotism longing for the reunification of the country. Shihu is the place where Fan Dacheng retired. According to the terrain, pavilions and pavilions were built, and flowers and trees were planted everywhere. There are Qianyan Temple, Tianjing Pavilion, Mengou Pavilion, Yuxue Slope, and Nongpu Hall. Emperor Xiaozong of the Song Dynasty gave it the title "Shihu", hence the name "Shihu Villa". The villa became famous because of the people, and it complemented the scenery of the lake and mountains. It was fascinated by the people of the time. They competed to write poems and compositions, and it became a grand event. In the 13th year of Chunxi reign (1186), Fan Chengda wrote "Sixty Pastoral Miscellanies in Four Seasons" in Shihu, which is a representative work of pastoral poetry in his life. He is the author of 136 volumes of "Shihu Collection", "Zheng Luan Lu", "Wu Chuan Lu", "Guihai Yu Heng Zhi", "Wu Jun Zhi", etc.
