Gu Sui (1897-1960), whose real name is Gu Baosui, also known as Xianji, pen name Kushui, nicknamed Tuo'an, was born in Qinghe County, Hebei Province. Chinese verse and prose writer, theoretical critic, aesthetic connoisseur, teaching artist, Zen scholar, calligrapher, and cultural academic research expert. Zhou Ruchang, Gu Sui's student and the leader of Red Studies, once said of him: "An upright poet, but also a profound scholar, an outstanding master-level philosopher."
