Articles of Association of China Calligraphers Association

The second meeting of the Fifth National Congress of China Calligraphers Association adopted Article 1: The China Calligraphers Association is a professional people's organization led by the China Party and composed of calligraphers of all ethnic groups in China. It is a bridge and link between the party and the government and calligraphers, and an important force for the prosperity of socialist literature and art and the development of advanced culture.

Article 2 Under the guidance of Marxism–Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory and Theory of Three Represents, China Calligraphers Association adheres to Scientific Outlook on Development, implements the Party's basic line, adheres to the direction that literature and art serve the people and socialism, adheres to the policy of "letting a hundred flowers blossom and a hundred schools of thought contend" and "making the past serve the present and bringing forth the new", carries forward the main theme, advocates diversity and respects artistic laws. Broadly unite and organize calligraphers of all ethnic groups in China to strive for the prosperity and development of China's calligraphy art, carry forward the excellent cultural traditions of the Chinese nation, build socialist spiritual civilization and realize socialist modernization.

Article 3 An association shall abide by the Constitution of People's Republic of China (PRC) and various national laws and regulations, and carry out artistic, academic and social activities in accordance with its articles of association and professional characteristics. Article 4 The China Calligraphers Association consists of group members and individual members. Calligraphers' Associations of all provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps are group members of the Association. The National Association of Industry Bookstores, which agrees with the articles of association and has the corresponding conditions, may apply, report to the presidium of the association for examination and approval, and become a group member of the association after going through the formalities. Members of the China People's Liberation Army (including the Chinese People's Armed Police Force) who collectively participate in the activities of the China Book Association are regarded as group members.

Article 5 All China people and citizens who have made certain achievements in the field of calligraphy art, have high ideological and cultural quality, meet the membership requirements and agree to the articles of association of the Association may become individual members of the Association upon their own application, introduction by two members of the Association, recommendation by members of the group to which the applicant belongs, approval by the Association and formalities. Individual members of this association are affiliated to only one group member. Those who meet one of the following basic conditions can apply for membership: 1, with high creative level; 2. High theoretical research results; 3, engaged in calligraphy education, editing and publishing, organization has made remarkable achievements or outstanding contributions.

Article 6 The detailed rules for the membership conditions of group members and individual members of the association shall be organized and implemented by the resident leading bodies after being approved by the presidium.

Article 7 Members of this Association have the right to vote and stand for election, the right to make suggestions, criticize and supervise the work and leadership of this Association, and the freedom to quit this Association. Members of this association have the obligation to abide by the articles of association of this association, implement the resolutions of this association, safeguard the rights and interests of this association, pay the membership fees on time, complete the work entrusted by this association, and have the responsibility to contribute to the construction of this association.

Article 8 If a member of this Association violates the national laws, regulations and the articles of association of this Association, depending on the seriousness of the case, the Presidium of this Association will discuss and decide to give informed criticism, suspend his membership or cancel his membership. Article 25 The right to amend the Articles of Association belongs to the National Congress and the right to interpret it belongs to the Council of the Association.

Twenty-sixth China Calligraphers Association is a group member of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles. The abbreviation is "China Calligraphy Association", and the English name is China Calligraphers Association (C.C.A). The headquarters of the association is located in Beijing.
