The Ming Dynasty from the 14th to the 16th century
The famous painters during this period include:
1. Tang Yin
(1) Introduction to famous artists :
(AD 1470-1523) Ming painter, courtesy name Bohu, also known as Ziwei, also known as Liuru Jushi, Taohua Temple Master, Fleeing Zen Immortal Official, etc., from Wuxian County, Jiangsu Province. In the eleventh year of Hongzhi (AD 1498), the first name of Yingtian Mansion was Jieyuan, and he was engraved with the seal of "The First Talented Man in Jiangnan". After the examination, he was implicated in a fraud case in the examination hall, and he was no longer an official. He made a living by selling paintings. He was a suave person, and there were many folk legends, all of which were jokes about him. Together with Shen Zhou, Wen Huiming and Qiu Ying, they are collectively known as the "Four Ming Masters". They are good at all types of painting. Li Tang and Liu Songnian are landscape masters. Their figures are close to Du Jin, and their flowers and birds are influenced by Shen Zhou. They are all unique, graceful and unrestrained. Zhao Mengfu was good at calligraphy and poetry.

2. Sun Kehong
(1) Famous artist introduction:
(1533-1611 AD) Ming calligraphy painter. His courtesy name was Yunzhi, his nickname was Xueju, and he was a native of Huating (now Songjiang, Shanghai). With his father's influence, he became an official and reached the prefecture of Hanyang. He is good at painting flowers and birds, bamboos, rocks, and landscapes. He learned from Shen Zhou and Lu Zhi. In his middle age, he mostly painted colors, which were neat and elegant. In his later years, he was more relaxed and his brushwork was concise. Good at calligraphy and poetry.

3. Lu Zhi
(1) Introduction to famous artists:
(1496-1576 AD) Ming painter. His courtesy name is Shuping, his nickname is Bao Shanzi, and he is a native of Wuxian County, Jiangsu Province. He once studied calligraphy and painting from Zhu Yunming and Wen Huiming. Good at painting landscapes, flowers and birds. Good at calligraphy and poetry.

4. Li Zai
(1) Introduction to famous artists:
(AD?--1431) Ming painter. The word is political. A native of Kamata, Fujian. In the Xuande period, the Renzhi Palace was waiting for the imperial edict. He is good at painting landscapes and figures. His figures are exquisite and fascinating, and he is praised as "only one person below Dai Wenjin".

5. Lan Ying
p>(1) Introduction to famous artists:
(1585-1664 AD) Ming painter, courtesy name Tian Shu, nicknamed Diesou, Shitoutuo, Dongguo Laonong, Qiantang (now Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province) people. He is good at painting landscapes, learning from Huang Gongwang and Wu Zhen, and also adopting the Southern Song Dynasty courtyard painting style. There are also figures, flowers and birds. Later generations said that those of the "Zhejiang School" were called "Dianjun".
6. Du Qiong
(1) Introduction to the famous artist:
(1396-1474 AD) Ming painter. The courtesy name is Yongjia, the nickname is Dongyuan Cultivator, Luguan Taoist, and he is known as Mr. Dongyuan. He is good at painting landscapes and figures. Shen Zhou once studied painting from him and pioneered the "Wu School of Painting". He is also good at calligraphy and poetry. He is the author of Dongyuan Zhaiji.

7. Dai Jin
(1388-1462 AD) Ming painter. The courtesy name is Wenjin, the name is Jing'an, a native of Yuquanshan, and a native of Qiantang (now Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province). During the Xuande period (AD 1462-435), he dedicated his fine paintings to the inner court, but was later released due to slander. He is good at painting landscapes, figures, flowers and birds, and Cordyceps. Ma Yuan and Xia Gui, landscape masters, are a family of outstanding people. Their brushwork is old-fashioned and detached. They paint figures, flowers, birds, and cordyceps, and they are very prosperous. His paintings had a great influence in the mid-Ming Dynasty. He is the originator of "Zhejiang School".

8. Qiu Ying
(A.D.? - before 1552), named Maifu, also named Shizhou, a native of Taicang, Jiangsu, and lived in Suzhou. He studied painting from Zhou Chen and copied famous works of the Tang and Song Dynasties at Xiang Yuan and Bian's house in Jiaxing. He makes a living by selling paintings. He is good at painting figures and landscapes, especially ladies, and his color work is beautiful. Zhao Boju and Liu Songnian were the masters of the landscape painting. The unique green color may be regarded as the successor of Zhao Boju. Dong Qichang sighed and said, "Even Wen (Wen Huiming) and Shen (Shen Zhou) failed to use their methods." Together with Shen Zhou, Wen Huiming and Tang Yin, they are collectively known as the "Four Ming Painting Schools" and are the backbone of the "Wumen School of Painting".
