Many people misunderstand that learning Buddhism means being a vegetarian or not pursuing fame and fortune. They just make themselves very monk and vulgar, and the whole person looks strange. In fact, the life of a monk is completely different from that of his family. Monks must abide by at least 270 commandments, and families living in the world of five desires have their due responsibilities and obligations. The Buddha never denied the happiness he enjoyed in his family, but told us that these happiness were fickle in nature and not worthy of infatuation. But he also knows that in his family, it is impossible to give up these comforts at once, so he teaches us to take the right path (that is, a gentleman loves money and takes it wisely), and not to do whatever it takes to satisfy his selfish desires, because we are psychologically prepared for the harm we have caused others, and even if we can't calculate the account in this life, we will one day return it to ourselves with interest.
What the Buddha condemns most is whether the bad monk is a hypocrite. In other words, as a family, it is not a sin to enjoy wealth, love, affection, fame and other happiness, and it does not conflict with practice. As long as it is based on the premise of "caring for your own heart", you can still go to the road of liberation and taste the cool taste of the law.

This is what I heard:
Once, the Buddha took many big monks to Casaro in ancient India and lived in a village in that country. There is a family in the village who believes in Brahmanism. His name is Canudoro. He heard that the Buddha seldom came here and admired his holy name for a long time, so he went to the Buddha's residence and asked some questions.
When he saw the Buddha, he bowed respectfully to him and sat down. He asked, "Gotama! I am a family member and an ordinary person. I have worldly desires, a wife and children. I live in a bustling city, wearing fine clothes and enjoying delicious food. I hope to keep all this, but I also hope to learn enough from you to practice, so that I can live in the afterlife after death. I wonder if this will conflict with your teaching? 」
The Buddha said, "Lay people, there is actually no conflict. In my teaching methods, there are some ways to help you enjoy the happiness in the world and improve your mind at the same time. 」
Quinudoro was very excited when he heard the Buddha say this. He asked the Buddha to explain what to do for him.
The Buddha said, "Buddhists, I will now explain to you ways to help you practice.". Please listen carefully and remember. 」
"Thank you," said Cunudoro. "I will listen to your explanation carefully. 」
Buddha said: "As a family member, we must cultivate empathy and keep the following thoughts at all times, so as to give consideration to the happiness and practice in the world. At home, he should think like this: "I clearly know that if someone tries to kill me, I will be unhappy and I will be afraid." If I don't like it, others won't like it, so how can I kill other people's lives? 』
When he is so right in thought, he will sincerely accept not to kill, and he is unwilling to kill in his heart.
Ditto, "If I don't like people stealing my property, of course others don't like it. How can I steal other people's property? " ? So I'd rather not steal, not steal. 』
Just like the above truth, "I don't like others to seduce, harass, violate and rape my wife and daughter (or husband), and of course others don't like being treated like this. How can I seduce, harass, violate and rape other people's wives and daughters (husbands) now? Therefore, I am willing to accept the precepts of abstinence. 』
As mentioned above, "I don't like being cheated by others, and so must others." How can I lie to others? Therefore, I am willing to accept the commandment of not telling lies. 』
As mentioned above, "I don't like others to sow discord between me and my relatives and friends, and others must feel the same way." How can I sow discord between others and their relatives and friends today? So I can't do anything to sow discord. 』
As mentioned above, "I don't like others to scold me, and others must do the same." How can I insult others? So I shouldn't speak ill of others. 』
As mentioned above, "I don't like others to say insincere or meaningless dirty words to me, and others must do the same." How can I speak English with others? So I shouldn't say those insincere sweet words or useless swear words to others. 』
These are seven ways to help you practice. Let's call it the Seven Commandments. If this family can have a correct understanding and firm belief in Buddha, Buddha and monk, then this family will prove that he is not bad. He can decide his future destiny and say to himself, "I will never fall into hell, animals and hungry ghosts again. All the evil benefits have disappeared, and I have achieved the first fruit." 』」
After listening to the Buddha's explanation, Queenidoro was extremely happy. He said to the Buddha, "It's really rare! Buddha! From now on, I would like to convert to Buddhism, to your teaching method, to all the monks, and to be a standard Buddhist disciple at home all my life until the end of my life. 」

The standard is Posay (head of household)
Source: Lonely Garden
What is the standard head of household? In this scripture, the Buddha clearly taught that to be a standard excellent woman, she must have the conditions of faithfulness, keeping precepts, giving alms, listening to the law, being observed, reaching deep meaning and following the law.
How can you be selfish and altruistic at home? Please refer to the following scripture.
From Za Agama's Biography to the North, Volume 33, Article 929.
Translated on August 2, 20051baguanting ringing day.
This is what I heard:
Once, the Buddha lived in the forbidden garden of Karo Viongni in ancient India. At that time, Mahanan, a Buddhist monk, came to worship Buddha.
After kowtowing to the Buddha, he sat back and said to the Buddha, "Dear Lord, what is a beautiful woman living at home?" ? 」
The Buddha said to Mahabharata: "The so-called' Youposai' means living an innocent life in her house, even at the end of her life, and turning to three treasures is Youposai. 」
Mahabharata asked the Buddha, "Buddha, what conditions should you have to be a standard outstanding woman?" 」
The Buddha said: "If Youposai only has faith and doesn't keep precepts, she is not a standard layman, so she should study hard and keep precepts enough;" If you are full of faith and precepts, but refuse to give, you are still not a standard layman. Because the conditions for staying at home are not complete, we should study hard, do more good deeds and improve the conditions.
However, although the conditions for believing in Buddhism, abstaining from Buddhism and giving alms are perfect, it is not a standard layperson to visit Saman and listen to Buddhism frequently. Therefore, you should practice diligently, often go to Ta Temple, and often visit Samanas, otherwise you can't concentrate on Buddhism, and you can't be regarded as a standard Buddhist.
Although the conditions for practicing faith, keeping precepts, giving alms and listening to the dharma have been met, it is still not standard at home after listening to the dharma. Therefore, they should study hard, visit Salmonella from time to time and concentrate on Buddhism.
However, although you can practice Buddhism after hearing it, you can't understand the profound meaning of Buddhism (the essence and meaning of Buddhism), and you are still not a standard family. You should practice diligently.
If you have the conditions to believe in Buddhism, observe precepts, give alms and listen to Dharma, you can observe the profound meaning after listening to it, but you can't follow the rules (step by step towards liberation), and you still can't become a standard family member. Since the conditions are not perfect, study hard.
Finally, when all the conditions are met, such as belief, keeping precepts, giving alms, listening to the law, observing the law, reaching the deep meaning and following the law, the Maha people can be regarded as having the conditions that a standard family member should have. 」
Mahaman went on to ask the Buddha, "Dear Lord, under what circumstances does this mean that Eupatsy can only help herself, but not others?" 」
The Buddha said, "If you believe in your family's three treasures, you can't lead others to believe in them." Self-discipline alone cannot keep others disciplined; Pay only by yourself, without affecting others to pay together; You can't persuade others to go to Ta Temple to meet Samoans. Listening to Buddhism by yourself can't persuade people to listen to Buddhism. After hearing the Dharma, you can stand by and watch it, but you can't let others stand by and watch the Dharma. I can observe profound and wonderful meaning, but I can't convince others to observe profound meaning; After a thorough understanding of the law, you can step by step toward the Eight Right Path, but you can't convince people to step by step toward the Eight Right Path. Maha male, in the above eight situations, Youposai can only be selfish, not altruistic. 」
The Maha asked the Buddha again, "Buddha, how can you help yourself?" 」
Buddha said: "If Youposai can do the following sixteen ways, it means Youposai can live in peace with herself. What are the sixteen kinds? Maha man, if you have enough faith, you can also guide others to believe in the three treasures; Self-sustaining clean commandments, but also teaching others with clean commandments; Give yourself and teach others to pay; Go to the pagoda temple to see Samoans, and also teach people to see Samoans at the ceremony; Listen to the law by yourself and teach others to listen to it; I accept the meaning of law and teach people to accept the meaning of law; Observe the legal meaning by yourself and teach others to observe the legal meaning; Self-knowledge and step-by-step follow the Eight Right Path can also teach people to understand the profound meaning and step-by-step methods of the Eight Right Path. Maha man, if he can do the above sixteen ways, is an excellent woman who can be self-interested and altruistic.
Maha Gong, if Youposai can achieve the above sixteen laws, all his family will come to visit him. Under his influence, the lay man can exert his far-reaching influence among Brahmins, monks, elders, shamans and others, and Wade showed his arrogance. Just like the sun shines brightly at the beginning, middle and end of the day.
That's it. If Eupatorium can achieve sixteen methods, she can shine at the beginning, middle and end. That's it, Maha. If you can do the above sixteen methods, it can be said that it is rare in the world. 」
After Mahatma's family listened to the Buddha's words, the Stone Family got up happily, bowed to the Buddha and left.
