"The best is like water" is an idiom , refers to: the highest state, just like the character of water, benefiting all things without striving for fame and wealth. It is in a place that no one pays attention to or a subtle place, so it is closest to the Tao. Water is colorless and tasteless. It is square when it is square and round when it is round. It has no stagnation. It exists in nature in various forms and has nothing against nature. The words come from "Laozi": "The best is like water. Water is good for all things without fighting. It is what everyone hates (wù), so it is less than the Tao." In Taoist theory, water is the best and softest; its nature is continuous and dense, and it is silent when it is small. , huge and turbulent; it has no competition with others but accommodates all things. Water has the virtue of nourishing all things. It enables all things to obtain its benefits without causing any contradiction or conflict with all things. The way of life is nothing better than this.
