Guo Moruo was born in Shawan, Leshan, Sichuan. When he was a child, he went to a family school. 1906 entered Jiading College and began to accept democratic ideas. 1965438+went to study in Japan in the spring of 2004. He created a large number of literary works in his life, creating a poetic style in the history of China literature. 1926 Participated in the Northern Expedition, served as the deputy director of the Political Department of the National Revolutionary Army, and then actively participated in the revolution.

1958 In May, in order to realize the modernization of science and technology, it was suggested to the CPC Central Committee that China Academy of Sciences should establish a new university. In September of the same year, China University of Science and Technology was formally established in Beijing, and the State Council appointed Guo Moruo as the president.

Guo Moruo is not only a writer and scholar, but also an excellent translator of foreign literature. From the 1920s to 1970s, Guo Moruo published nearly 5 million words of translation works in more than 50 years. Guo Moruo is also a calligrapher, and he wrote many plaques such as the Palace Museum, China Bank, Beihai Park, Zhongshan Park and Beijing People's Art Theatre.
