The little-known famous anti-Qing general Zhang Cangshui once joined forces with Zheng Chenggong to fight against the Qing Dynasty

The tomb is not very far away, so there is no need to overlook it.

After standing in front of the tomb for a while, I turned back and walked straight for about two minutes. The bustling Nanshan Road suddenly appeared in front of me, like a huge stage. Today's human drama is being staged vigorously. The July sun, like the hottest spotlight, hangs in the center of the stage, bright and dazzling.

Looking back at the tomb passage not far away, Zhang Cangshui, who died in 1664, was lying quietly at the end of his sight.

In July, I am sweating profusely.

At the end of the sight, there sleeps a brave soul. He died more than 300 years ago. According to historical records, Zhang Cangshui was "sentenced".

No matter how different the cultural background is, this way of death is full of uneasiness and legend for both the East and the West. Anxiety stems from the instinctive fear of death, but why does this person dare to die like this? This should be a legend.

The tomb of Zhang Cangshui is placed under the Lizhi Peak of Nanping Mountain. Now, this place has long had a household name, Prince Edward Sound.

Few locals know the strange place name of Lizhi Peak.

Under the strange yet familiar Lychee Peak, a brave and legendary man is buried. What song are you humming like? So close, so far. Just a short two-minute walk away, just outside the tomb passage is the bustling Nanshan Road and the beautiful West Lake, where buses from travel agencies confront each other every day. The police and officers show up here on time every day and they are very busy. Opposite, the escalator track next to Leifeng Pagoda has been sliding, carrying tourists from all over the world.

But just walking back for two minutes seems to be able to reach the other side of the world. ——Quiet, solemn, and a little strange. A brave general died in 1664.

Two minutes away. The geographical distance between history and reality is too short, and the tomb passage is not far-reaching. When visiting ancient times, sometimes we look forward to walking through a very long tunnel, cooling ourselves down, quieting down, and growing old slowly while walking.

Two minutes away, sweating profusely. Underground, the sleeping general's blood boiled.

The simple "Teacher Wang's Tomb"

Zhang Cangshui, who "sat and suffered punishment", was not buried at first after being murdered by the Qing court. His friends, those martyrs who resisted the Qing Dynasty, were forced to build the simplest tomb due to the situation, using "Teacher Wang's Tomb" as a simple mark.

But this is like planting a seed that is destined to burst out of the ground.

At first, the simple "Teacher Wang's Tomb" located behind Zhang Cang River has been rebuilt many times. Every restoration is a tribute to this iron-blooded general.

On that hot afternoon, after standing in front of the tomb for a long time and pacing back and forth on the tomb path, Shen Jianzhong, an accompanying teacher at the Hangzhou Celebrity Memorial Hall, said that although it had been repaired many times in history, before 1992, this place was just a tomb. There is a dirt road, and the Zhang Cangshui Temple on one side was the office building of the police station at that time. In 1992, the police station was moved, Zhang Cangshui Citadel was rebuilt on the original site, and the tomb passage was newly built and expanded.

From the perspective of West Lake, Zhang Cang Shuimu Tomb is relatively less lively than the tombs of Yue Fei and Yu Qian, while Zhang Cang Shuimu Tomb has always been a bit deserted.

But for Zhang Cangshui, being able to sleep in the mountains of West Lake with Yue Fei and Yu Qian was a great comfort. Historically, the thinker Huang Zongxi wrote an epitaph for Zhang Cangshui, the left minister of the Ministry of War in the Ming Dynasty. The epitaph reads: "There is Yue's tomb in the north, and there is Yue's tomb in the south." "There is no distinction between benevolence and righteousness."

Huang Zongxi spoke highly of Zhang Cangshui, comparing his courage and talent to Wen Tianxiang in the late Song Dynasty. He felt that his tomb echoed the spirit of Yue Fei and Yu Qian, and thought "these are all good ideas."

The tombs, tomb passages, and ancestral halls are constantly being restored.

Before dying, Zhang Cangshui looked in the direction of Wu Shan, warm and extending

The iron-blooded general showed full tenderness before his death.

The recorded Zhang Cangshui is said to have been an unruly and wild boy. His father is said to have been deeply disappointed by gambling.

Where does the turning point of temperament and character occur?

This is the fate of a hero. They are always with the times. The famous opening line written by the British writer Dickens in his novel A Tale of Two Cities seems to be a gift to the world's heroes.

Yes, this is the best of times and the worst of times.

After the iron-blooded general was captured, on the way from Ningbo to Hangzhou, the Aqing soldiers sang Su Wu Sheep for him in the middle of the night;

On the day of departure, the executioner bowed to him first;

At the corner of Guanxiangkou and around the execution ground, plainclothes people were already wearing plain clothes, and there were people everywhere who came to see the general off.

After his death, the great thinker Huang Zongxi wrote a seven-character poem, describing his lost and sad state of mind when he was looking for a water tomb in Zhang Cang:

The three forks of the dense road in the wild tree , dismounted and looked for Sun.

The stone is hard and the holly has withered and does not bloom.

Taiwan Ye dare not leave his real name, and the flat stalk comes to feed Wan Cry.

On that day, I was at a loss for several years.

More than 70 years have passed, and history has entered the early years of Qianlong's reign in the Qing Dynasty. Another Taoist priest, Wu Ganyang, restored Zhang Cangshui's tomb passage and inscribed all the tombstones.

In the 41st year of Qianlong's reign, the Qing Dynasty that killed Zhang Cang Shuicheng was to win over Han intellectuals and named Zhang Cang Shuicheng "Zhongyi". Therefore, Wanfu, the grandson of the Yin people from Hangzhou, erected a stone tomb gate with the inscription "The tomb of Cangshui Zhanggong, Minister of the Ministry of War of the Ming Dynasty, was given by the Qing Emperor" as a monument. This inscription was later repeated by the calligraphy master Liang. Since then, Zhang Cang's water has been respected by both officials and people, and his tomb has been continuously repaired.

During the Republic of China, Zhang Cangshui’s descendants, Zhang Shouyong, who was then the Finance Director of Zhejiang Province, and others built a new Zhang Cangshui Temple in front of Zhang Cangshui’s tomb. The new temple is a three-story building with the Tang Hall below. From then on, the layout of the water temple and tomb in Zhangcang was the same as that of Yue Temple, Yue Tomb, Yu Temple and Yu Temple. "The lakes and mountains are beautiful, and the palaces are magnificent."

It is only "separated by a wall" from Zhang Taiyan's tomb.

The general died at the age of 45. For men today, 45 is a wonderful time.

There is a statue carved by later generations in the ancestral hall. It is extremely huge, many times larger than the real person. Amidst the noisy chirping of cicadas in summer, when you walk into the ancestral hall, you will encounter such a large and majestic general.

Is this the face of a 45-year-old mature man?

Why is your face so thin? So tragic and profound? The cheekbones are high, as if all human suffering is concentrated on them.

Is this the general’s body?

Why do you seem to be filled with the kind of sadness that only poets have?

When there are corpses everywhere, you just bow your sad head to them. You are a prisoner, but you never bow to your enemies.

Zhang Cangshui in history was also a talented poet. While fighting, he wrote poems and left countless chapters for future generations.

I have a teacher at the head of Xizi Lake.

After the death of Zhang Tan, wife of Zhang Taiyan, a veteran of the 1911 Revolution and a master of modern Chinese studies

The graves of the two people are only separated by a short and low wall, surrounded by lush vegetation and tall trees. canopy. When it was quiet, they could only hear the rustle of their feet on the grass.

Two people from different eras finally came together because of invisible admiration and origin. They leaned against each other and sat watching the lake and mountains flicker every day, listening to the birds echoing in the empty valley. . Although there is a wall between them, when you get closer to them, you will feel that their hands have been holding each other deep underground.
