Zhang Jian, whose name is Ji Zhi, is Si 'an. His ancestral home is Changshu, Jiangsu, and he is from Changle Town, Haimen, Tongzhou, Jiangsu (now Changle Town, Haimen City, Nantong City, Jiangsu Province). In the 20th year of Guangxu (1894), he was the top scholar, an industrialist, politician, educator and calligrapher in modern China.
