Wutai distilled liquor is a specialty of Wutai Town, Dancheng, Zhoukou City, Henan Province. Dancheng "Gu Dan brand" distilled liquor is made of high-quality black rice and millet as raw materials, Xiaoqu as saccharifying starter, and refined through more than ten processes, such as culture, saccharification, fermentation and distillation. Pure fragrance, refreshing and sweet, known as the "national wine Maotai".

Gu Dan distilled liquor is produced in Dancheng with a long history. The Spring and Autumn Period was the place where Laozi was an alchemist, so it was called "Dancheng". It belonged to Chu in the Warring States Period and was located in Dan County in the Han Dynasty, with a history of more than 2,000 years. It is said that Lao Tzu was full of wisdom after drinking distilled liquor, founded Taoism and became a fairy. Dancheng, with profound cultural background, is "the hometown of calligraphy in China" and "the famous county of poetry in China".
