Qiongtai blessed land

Qiongtai Fudi Memorial Hall is located in Guandi Lane, Fucheng, and Qiongtai Fudi Site is located on Bao Er Mountain. In ancient times, people used to call government officials "Taiwan Province", so it was called "Qiongtai". The saying that Qiongtai is blessed has a long history. Elephant watchers once said that Chinese mainland's masculinity sneaked into the south across the sea and first gathered under Qiongtai, so it was called a "blessed land". According to legend, the terrain in Hainan is like a little puss-head. Song Taizu was afraid that it would stick its head out to threaten the rule of the dynasty, so he moved the country to a place where there were little pussies. In the sixth year of Xining in Song Shenzong (A.D. 1073), Qiongguan appeasement department was set up in Qiongzhou City, which was responsible for the government affairs of the whole island to contain the glans penis. Therefore, people called this place Qiongtai at that time.

In the first year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty (A.D. 1403), Hainan Wei commanded Yang Yi to set up a stone tablet of "Bao Er Mountain" at the top of the mountain and a stone archway of "Qiongtai Blessed Land" in the south of the mountain. In the early years of Hongzhi in Ming Dynasty (1488), Bao 'er Mountain was dug up by villagers to build Guandi Temple. In the twenty-second year of Qing Qianlong (1757), Zhang patrolled the road and restored Qiongtai's blessed land according to the wishes of the people. In the forty-third year of Qianlong (1778), Wang Zhuan of Qiongshan County carved the word "Qiongtai" as a record. Later, Guandi Temple, Wenchang Pavilion, Notre Dame, altar, stage and stone archway were built on Frye's land, which became a place for literati to visit and a hometown for ordinary people to pray. The ancient buildings are gone now, leaving only ruins.

From 65438 to 0999, Qiongshan Municipal People's Government rebuilt the Qiongtai Fudi Memorial Hall on the original site. The reconstructed buildings of Qiongtai Fudi Memorial Hall include: Qiongtai Fudifang, Fudixuan, Qiongtai Pavilion, Guandi Hall, Mazu Tempel, Kannonji, Yingbi, East-West Corridor and Fuquan.

Qiongtai College

Qiongtai Academy is located at the junction of Wen Zhuang Road and Zhongshan North Road in Fucheng. According to legend, it was built by later generations to commemorate Qiu Kun, the first talented person in Hainan and a great scholar in the Ming Dynasty. It was founded in the forty-fourth year of Qing Emperor Kangxi (1705). It is said that the academy was named after Qiu Zhuo Qiongtai, and was called Mr. Qiongtai.

Today is the former site of Qiongtai Teachers College. Its main building, Kuixing Building, is two stories high, with blue tiles, red corridors and white walls. It is a brick-wood structure with national characteristics and has been well preserved so far. On the second floor of Kuixing Building, there is a plaque hanging in the middle of the middle beam, which reads the word "Jinshi" and is as big as a bucket. This is a gift from Zhang Rizhong, an academician after the imperial court. Carved beams and painted buildings in the building are very chic; There are trees in front of the building, and the environment is beautiful and quiet.

It used to be the highest institution of learning in Qiongzhou, and it was the only ladder for ancient Hainanese to enter official positions. The story of the famous Cantonese opera and Qiong opera "Searching for the Academy" happened here. At that time, Zhang Sheng, a scholar, fell in love with a girl from Qiongzhou Town. Zhentai was furious and severely punished her. The servant girl fled to the academy for help, and the town station sent someone to kill her. The academy taught Xie Bao to speak out bravely, didn't answer the phone in front of the door, and tactfully sent her out of the city overnight, so that Zhang Sheng and the maid got married. Qiongtai Academy is famous at home and abroad for searching for academies.
