Who is Wang Yishao?

Yesterday I quoted Li Bai’s poem and talked about Wang Yishao. Many people don’t know who Wang Yishao is. In fact, he is the famous Wang Xizhi.

Here is a story: Yuan In March of the fifth year of Feng Dynasty (1082), Su Shi visited Qingquan Temple in Qishui (now Xishui County, Hubei Province), where "there is a spring where Wang Yishao washed his pen." (Volume 1 of "Dongpo Zhilin" "Visiting Shahu") 》)

Wang Yi, a writer of the Eastern Han Dynasty, served as a school secretary during the reign of Emperor An, and an official attendant during the reign of Emperor Shun.

Wang Yishao is the calligrapher Wang Xizhi of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, and Yi Shao is his successor. The name, official to General You, internal history of Kuaiji, is known as "Wang Youjun" in the world.

It can be seen that it should be regarded as "Wang Yishao (Xizhi) Washing Spring".
