The Buddhist Association of the city actively responded to the call of the Chinese Buddhist Association. After more than a year of preparation, 1993 invested 400,000 yuan to restore Wuchang Buddhist College. Miao Zhan of Nanputuo Temple in Xiamen, Fujian donated RMB 654.38+00000 and some teaching tapes, Suzhou Xiyuan donated more than books 100 and a set of teaching tapes (160 boxes), and the Buddhist College of Nanputuo Temple in Singapore and Taichung also donated money and materials to support the running of the Buddhist College. With the cordial care and strong support of provincial and municipal leaders, Chang Ming, Doggett (deceased), Tzu Chi, Yin Shun, Ming Shan (deceased) and other mountain elders at home and abroad, the preparatory class of Wuchang Buddhist College held the opening ceremony at Baotong Temple in Hongshan, Wuchang on April 8, 1994, and recruited nearly 60 students from Hubei, Jiangxi, Zhejiang, Sichuan, Jiangsu and other places. Chang Ming, Ci Xue, Chang Le, Chang Yuan, Wan Songting and other elders attended the opening ceremony. Zhao, Zhou Binsheng and Xiong, leaders of relevant departments in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, were present to congratulate. Master Chang Ming gave a speech on the topic of "cultivating talents and inheriting Buddhist wisdom". On August 3 1 day of the same year, with the approval of Hubei Provincial People's Government E Zheng Ban Han [1994] No.85, the school officially resumed running for three years.
In the curriculum, guided by the syllabus of the Chinese Buddhist Association, the Buddhist curriculum is based on the teaching of basic theories such as classics, law, philosophy and history, so as to pay equal attention to caution, wisdom and wisdom, be compatible in size and step by step. The classics include Heart Sutra, Legacy Sutra and Infinite Life Sutra. In law, there is the outline of the subject; About Tibet, there are Ode to Eight Ji, Abandoning Everything, Knowing Everything and Introduction to Buddhism. Buddhist history includes Indian Buddhist history and China Buddhist history. Other aspects include jungle knowledge, the combination of two courses, Zen chants and Bai Fan. The basic courses of current affairs, politics and culture include: reading books on religious work, ancient Chinese, China history, calligraphy, accounting, English and microcomputer. Wuchang Buddhist College resumed the first professional course of Buddhism, which was taught by teachers such as Zhang, Liu Yinong and Lin. Social and cultural classes are taught by teachers such as Tong Mianzhi, Lu and Sheng.
Wuchang Buddhist College resumed its operation with the approval of Hubei Provincial People's Government E Zheng Ban Han [1994] No.85. Under the leadership of religious affairs departments of Hubei Province and Wuhan City, it was co-sponsored by Hubei Buddhist Association and Wuhan Buddhist Association.
