He Jialin, born in 1961, is from Hangzhou. In 1984, he was admitted to the Chinese Painting Department of Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts, majoring in landscape majors. He graduated in 1988 with a bachelor's degree. He has obtained bachelor's degree, master's degree and doctorate degree. He once served as deputy director and professor of the Chinese Painting Department of the China Academy of Art. He is currently the deputy director of the Creative Research Department of the China National Academy of Painting, and a doctoral and master's tutor at the China Academy of Art and the Chinese Academy of Art. He is a member of the Chinese Artists Association, a distinguished researcher of the China Academy of Art, vice chairman of the Chinese Painters Association of Zhejiang Province, vice chairman of the Hangzhou Artists Association, and vice president of the Hangzhou Painting Academy.
Served as deputy secretary-general of Hangzhou Calligraphers Association. In 1994, he was transferred to the Chinese Painting Department of the China Academy of Art.
