Original text:

In late spring and March, the grass grows in the south of the Yangtze River, the peanut trees are mixed, and the orioles fly around. Seeing the flag and drum of the old country, I feel that I was born in a domain, which is not embarrassing at all!

Therefore, even the public thought of Zhao Jiang, Woods cried out of the Xihe River and had a good relationship with people. Is the general ruthless?

You should learn the rules early to benefit yourself.

Translation:

In late spring and March, the south of the Yangtze River is covered with green grass, all kinds of flowers and trees, and warblers fly everywhere. Seeing the drums of the old army, I recalled.

How can you not be sad when you look down at the city in your past life? Because of this, Lian Po is eager to be Zhao Jiang and Wu Qilin.

It is human nature to hide tears and sorrows in Biexi River. Is it only the general who doesn't feel this way? I hope you can make proper arrangements as soon as possible and strive for a happy future for yourself.

Commentary: In the fourth year of Tian Jian (A.D. 505), Liang Wudi ordered Xiao Hong, king of Linchuan, to lead an army to the northern expedition, while Chen Bozhi stationed troops in Shouyang to confront Liang Jun. Xiao Hong ordered Qiu Chi to personally write a letter to persuade Chen Bozhi to surrender. The Book with Chen Bo is a political letter written under this background.

At that time, the two armies were at war. As a surrender book, the first paragraph of this excerpt mainly wrote beautiful scenery and great rivers and mountains, which aroused the homesickness of enemy generals and paved the way for the later surrender. As the saying goes, "it is human nature to be sad and happy", so this letter is undoubtedly a successful combination of literary background and political strategy.
