The significance of starting classes In the past two years, the Ministry of Education has greatly increased the length of ancient poetry. My daughter needs a lot of recitation in her first day. At the same time, the country is also vigorously advocating Chinese studies, and Chinese studies programs such as "Chinese Poetry Conference" and "Classic Reading" are popular. At the beginning of the new year, I think it's time to teach more primary and secondary school students what I have learned over the years and to teach poetry lovers.
This study aims to stimulate imagination and dare to draw; The short poem of "Gong Ge Tu Ji" (4 sentences)
This is a special training camp for the right brain image memory of poetry. The so-called visualization simply means that there are dynamic images in your mind, which is similar to watching cartoons. In order to enhance the memory effect, we are required to draw pictures, visualize them and draw them in a notebook.
Let me show you some poems and paintings first-
The last one was drawn by a student who participated in my special training camp for image memory in winter vacation, a girl in Grade One of Senior High School. She drew it with great care.
Don't be afraid to draw. Painting is not an art class. I don't ask everyone to draw beautifully. What I draw is not very beautiful, but it is a good work as long as it helps me remember. If you must say that I really can't draw, it doesn't matter. As long as you follow my instructions, you can draw.
Some partners may be confused: why do I have to have images? I can recite by understanding and reading repeatedly, and the traditional way is not useless. Yes, we can remember something, but what is the process and effect of this memory? How do you or your children feel about using this method? Do you remember the pain and forget it soon? This actually belongs to the logical memory and rote memorization of the left brain, while the right brain focuses on images, saying that a picture is worth a thousand words, and how many dense words there are on a picture. Let's analyze and compare the six pictures just now. If it is not a painting, it is all poetry. How many people are willing to watch, and how long can they endure? But the situation is different. You can stroke your beard and nod your head. Well, that's good. Expressed the artistic conception of poetry. Ha, I can see a few words. You can also point. This painting is terrible. Look at these lines and ugly colors. This sentence should not be treated like this. No matter how you paint, it attracts your attention and makes you willing to spend time to stay. Even if you want to do it yourself, in the process of this evaluation, you have unconsciously completed the memory and recitation of poetry. what do you think? Do you think I stabbed your heart? Please call 1 if you are poked, haha.
Then the remaining problem is how to imagine the picture and how to draw a visual image.
Don't worry, let's look at a universal memory formula, which is not only useful for reciting poems, but also can be transferred to almost all subject knowledge and workplace learning materials.
The main content of tonight is graphic memory formula. Our entire special training camp course is expected to be 20 times, and this graphic memory formula will run through the whole process.
This formula is very simple, there are only three steps: imagine-associate-find keywords. No matter how complicated poems are, we can use this formula to help us remember them easily and efficiently, even classical Chinese and modern Chinese are universal. Imagination is to draw a picture, and association is to connect two things. If a poem is long, such as more than 20 sentences, it is necessary to extract keywords and draw a mind map. Time is limited tonight. We will talk about the next two steps in the formal course of the special training camp. The most important thing tonight is the first step-imagination.
For example, if I say "apple", a big round red apple will appear in everyone's head, and it is delicious. Rub it, how smooth your skin is! Try a bite, and the sweet juice will flow down the corners of your mouth. This is really the taste of happiness! You see, here I use six ways of perception: sight, smell, taste, hearing, touch and mind. Generally, only vision is used. If you add some other images, it will be more vivid. We apply this drawing method to poetry, and draw the vocabulary first.
Let's read Wei's Xixi Chuzhou together.
How's it going? Remember? I hardly remember, do I? That's because we only remember things by sound. For so many years, we have been memorizing things by sound and need to read them again and again. This is very difficult to remember, even if we remember them at that time, it is easy to forget them. But if you use image memory, the effect will be very different. Now, please read slowly word by word. Let's not worry. When reading, we can draw some pictures in our minds, such as grass, the edge of mountain streams, orioles, dense trees, spring tides, the sound of rain, dusk, wild crossings and coming boats. Can you see them?
Ok, in order to make the picture more profound, please take out a pen and paper and draw the key word I just said, a ***9.
I believe everyone has painted it, and no matter how good it is, we can draw the corresponding image. Can you understand it yourself? Show it to others. Can others understand it? I'm sure I can understand it, right? This is a successful picture! Even more abstract "evening", everyone can draw it! The sun just set, right?
Can you make it dynamic after painting? Is the "grass" in everyone's mind swaying gently with the wind? Is the oriole's mouth open and closed? So how does this sport behave? It just needs a little visual processing. Grass should not stand upright like a stake, but should bend. With the oriole's mouth open and two short straight lines, we know that it must be singing clearly.
Now it only solves the problem that everyone dares to paint, but it is not enough to help us remember the whole poem completely. This fresh little poem is very artistic! So we should at least draw the meaning of each sentence. Now, please draw every half sentence, just like a four-grid cartoon. For example, the words "lonely and pitied by the grass" are drawn separately, and the words "there is an oriole singing in the tree" are also drawn separately, as are the remaining two sentences. This is my sketch for your reference. See how my photo is different from yours. After painting, please take photos in our WeChat group tonight, observe each other and see how others deal with a place and a detail.
Look at this picture to restore the original text of Chuzhou on Xixi. Is it easy to remember? Give you a few more examples:
I didn't draw a grid on these two pictures. They don't look as neat as Chuzhou in Xixi, but they don't affect reading and help to remember.
The example just given is a quatrain, which is relatively short. Let's consider it as hand training. In fact, eight metrical poems are fully qualified for this way!
It is very likely that everyone will whisper when drawing, there is no need to draw a grid picture in one sentence, how nice it is to draw a picture directly!
This is very correct. Earlier, I asked everyone to draw a square picture to practice their hands, because it would be easier to break four sentences into four pictures. In fact, Mr. Lin's ultimate expectation for everyone is also a complete picture, which can present the whole picture, just like a landscape painting. But at first, everyone was not sure about the integrated map, how to lay it out, and which image should be placed in what specific position. I went through this stage, too.
So how to solve it? Either you are diligent in thinking and racking your brains to piece together, or Baidu looks for a situation map. I found this on Baidu. Beautiful Chinese style, the meaning of every poem is in it.
However, although this can help us remember, most of us can't copy or draw it. Some people may say, wow, why should I draw it myself? I will search on Baidu, and there will be such a panoramic view. Isn't it over when I finish reciting it? Yes, but there are many natural images in this poem, and it is easy to visualize mountains and rivers. But some poems are lyrical and belong to consciousness and thought. Can you find a suitable overall picture? Even if you find it, it may not reflect all the poems, right?
In addition, if you don't draw it yourself, you won't be very impressed, because you lack the process of thinking and writing.
So, you must draw it yourself, even if it is ugly. If you think it's a waste of time, why not just pursue exquisite painting style? We are not an art class here, nor are we showing it to others. What we want is to recite poems quickly and well!
Well, now that we have the reference diagram, can we organically combine the previous grid diagrams to form a complete and artistic integrated diagram? Sure! As long as it is not ugly, and the layout can be patchwork, such as grass growing on the edge of a mountain stream and oriole on a tall tree, it has a sense of orientation. Pay attention to the layout and follow the reading habits of ordinary people, that is, from top to bottom, from left to right, or clockwise as a whole. This is not only convenient for drawing and memorizing, but also convenient for others to understand (I know that there are several treasure mothers who sign up for their children to learn to show).
Ok, try to get rid of the integrated picture and display it on your brain screen! Is it particularly clear? Look at the picture in your head and restore the original poem. Is it easy to come out? I dragged my feet in the early stage, and when I was more skilled in painting, the speed soon came up. Generally speaking, you can find the feeling by drawing about 10.
Let me show you some comprehensive pictures I drew-
These two integrated drawing requirements are relatively high, such as grasping the overall artistic conception, layout, and forced drawing of individual abstract characters. Many image words in Xixi Chuzhou that we just drew: grass, orioles and deep trees, can be drawn, but the poem is not entirely about scenery, and it is likely to be used to express feelings or ambitions, or to elaborate a philosophy. Abstract words appear frequently at this time, so we can't draw directly. If you can't draw, it's hard to find memory clues to recite. What should we do?
For example, there is a saying in Wang Wei's "Crossing the Kanto", how to remember this "residence"? At this time, it is necessary to turn abstraction into image. There are two methods: substitution method and homophonic method.
Earlier, we said that "evening" can be expressed by sunset, which is actually an example of abstraction to image. The abstract word "evening" is directly replaced by concrete visual sunset. Obviously, "Juyan" is more abstract. What should I do if I can't find something concrete to replace it in reality? Now we need to use "homophonic method" Give two examples-"crisis", crisis, what can be homophonic? "Feed the chickens!" How's it going? Have you got any pictures? Vivid, too, isn't it? While feeding the chicken at the foot, he called "Goo Goo". Once again "stand upright", you can imagine a tree standing there.
What about Juyan? I once met a homonym student who drew a bag of salt next to an orange. It seems that it's not impossible, but it's a little broken. Even if the orange is rolled up and salted, right? Or hold up a cigarette, hold up a cigarette. Do you have any other ideas? If it is vivid, of course, you can also use your own.
Ok, to sum up: the main content of tonight is the first step of memorizing formulas: imagine pictures. Besides figurative words, we also need to use two ways: substitution and homophonic.
Give everyone two assignments:
1. Please draw the grid map of Xixi and Detention in Chuzhou City. You can refer to mine, but I hope you can be innovative. If you have enough time, you can draw beautifully and color it, which is more conducive to understanding and memory.
2. The following are some images that often appear in Tang poetry and Song poetry. The so-called image, in fact, is the specific things used to entrust the poet's feelings in poetry, including people, animals, plants, places, weapons, materials and so on. After the logistics is restored, everyone should buy this book-Q version of antique stick figures, which will basically be used for punching in poetry and painting in the future. It is also recommended to copy more when you have time.
