The first two sentences of plum blossom, "There are several plum blossoms in the corner, and cold ling blooms alone", write that plum blossoms in the corner are not afraid of cold and proudly independent; The "corner" environment highlights the humble and lonely forms of several plums; The last two sentences, "It's not snow at a distance, just because there is a delicate fragrance", describe the delicate fragrance of plum blossoms, personify people with plum blossoms, and make Ling2 han2 blossom alone. The metaphor is noble in character, and the faint fragrance is impressive, symbolizing its brilliance. "Far away from snow" does not mean plum blossoms, but the whiteness of plum blossoms can be seen. It means it looks pure and white from a distance, but you know it's not snow, it's plum blossoms. Poetic twists and turns are implicit and intriguing.
Creation background
"Plum Blossom" was written in the spring of the seventh year of Xining, and Wang Anshi went on strike. In February of the following year, Wang Anshi visited again. After nine years in Xining (1076), he was discouraged after being stopped again, gave up political reform and retreated to Zhongshan. At this time, the author's lonely mentality and difficult situation have the same effect as the frosty plum blossom, so he wrote this poem.
