Tian Family
Huayue, Song Dynasty
When the chicken sings three times, the sky will be bright,
arrange rice bowls and tea bottles.
A dear man is afraid of plowing too early, so he pulls up his canopy window to look at the rising stars.
Meaning: The rooster crows three times, it is almost dawn, and the wife is already busy washing dishes, cooking, filling tea, and getting ready to work in the fields. The husband was afraid that his wife would rush him to the ground too early, so he opened the window covered with thatch and looked at the stars in the sky to see what time it was.
The poem not only reflects the hard work of farm women, but also shows the fatigue during the busy farming season.
