At 9: 00 am on May 30th, the torch relay started in Jixi, and the relay time was about 1 hour. The total length of the relay route is 8.56 kilometers, of which 4.07 kilometers are car transitions and the remaining 4.49 kilometers are running relays. The average relay distance of each torchbearer is 56 meters.

Our highlight: Hu Shi's former residence
Hu Shi's former residence is located in Shangzhuang Village, about 30 miles southwest of Jixi County. It is a well-structured, exquisite and elegant Huizhou architecture. The most noteworthy thing about the former residence is the exquisite wood carvings on the doors and windows. The doors and windows outside the hall are carved with lifelike orchids, with smooth knives and pens and flat-bottomed reliefs. The ancient Huihang Road starts from Fuling Town, Jixi County, Anhui Province to Ma Xiao Township, Lin 'an City, Zhejiang Province in the west, with a total length of more than 40 miles, which is an important link between Huizhou and Hangzhou in ancient times. The best preserved ancient road is Panshan Ancient Road in Jixi County, which is about 5 Li long and is the essence of Huizhou-Hangzhou Ancient Road. Surrounded by mountains, green bamboos and pines, there are many scenic spots such as "the first pass in Jiangnan" and "the first bridge in Jiangnan". On the east side of Yangzhihe River in Jixi County, you can see a red torch sculpture standing at the foot of Qingshan Mountain. If you look closely, you can quickly recognize that this is a sculpture imitating the torch of Xiangyun with the Olympic rings on it. This is a brand-new national fitness square transformed by Jixi municipal government according to the original Dongshan Park for the torch relay.
It is worth mentioning that the overall structure of the square has absorbed the traditional concept of "Five Elements" in China, enriching and extending the connotation of the Olympic spirit and traditional culture. The renovation project of the square was completed in the middle of this month. This place will be the starting point of Jixi torch relay. The map shows the torch relay route initially planned by the torch office. According to reports, this working group has been established for nearly half a year, and elite personnel have been selected from Jixi county government units to serve the torch relay.
For a county with a population of about 200,000, the arrival of the Olympic flame is undoubtedly a rare opportunity for this small town to show to the world.
