Historical evolution
In the third year of Chuping in the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 192), Changshan County was established and named after Changshan Mountain in the northeast of the county. In the first year of the Three Kingdoms period of Wu Baoding (AD 266), Dongyang County was established in the western part of Kuaiji County.
