Pei F is the legendary great swordsman! Wang Wei once wrote poems specially for him.

Pei F, a native of Tang Kaiyuan. He once defended Beiping County (now Lulong, Hebei Province) and participated in wars against Westerners, Khitan and Tubo successively. According to records, he is "General Sargingo". The poet Li Bai once learned swords from him. In Tang Wenzong, Wu Daozi's paintings, Zhang Xu's cursive script and Pei F's sword dance were called "Three Musts", and the world called them "Blade Master".

Wang Wei praised a poem by Zeng Zeng:

Wang Wei's Gift to General Pei

There is a seven-star sword on the waist and a bow on the arm.

I didn't know there was a general in the sky until I saw that I had captured Lu in the clouds.

It is also said that one year, Wu Daozi, Zhang Xu and Pei F met in Luoyang Tiangong Temple. Pei F wants to ask Wu Daozi to paint for his late parents in Tiangong Temple and pray for their blessing. Wu Daozi said: I haven't painted for a long time. If General Pei insists on painting, I have to ask him to dance a "sword dance" first to inspire my painting thoughts.

Pei F, a sword dancer, saw him "walk in Ma Rufei and draw left and right, just like a silver snake dancing, brave and fierce, heroic and heroic!" Suddenly, "throw the sword into the cloud, dozens of feet high. If lightning strikes, F leads the scabbard and the sword enters the room." A sword that has been thrown dozens of feet high can be caught with a hand-held scabbard and let it go straight into the scabbard. This is a unique skill of fencing. At that time, thousands of onlookers were shocked and amazed. Wu Daozi was also moved by the fierce sword dance, and his painting thinking was quick. With the help of God, he waved and drew a wall, and the wind was rustling. Soon, a mural "spectacular for the world" was painted.

After watching their performance, Zhang Xu wrote on the spur of the moment. He was as sick as a meteor and as light as a cloud of smoke, and a cursive script was displayed in front of people. Luoyang people present at that time were all amazed after reading it, saying, "In one day, you will get three unique things", which is a much-told story!
