1. Chu Tombs in Xichuan
The Spring and Autumn Chu Tombs in Xichuan Temple include 25 Spring and Autumn tombs and 5 chariot and horse pits. More than 7,000 pieces of bronzes and jades have been unearthed from this ancient tomb group. Among them, the Prince's Wusheng Tripod, the Cloud Pattern Bronze Forbidden and the Wangsun Gao Chime Bell are all first-class cultural relics in China.
Yin Zigeng, the magistrate of the Chu State, was buried here; the Xichuan Monk Ridge and Xujialing Chu tombs are the largest group of Chu aristocratic tombs from the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods discovered in Henan after the Xiasi Chu Tombs. A large number of exquisite bronze vessels were unearthed from the tomb of Zhen Yin Kehuang of Chu State.
2. Xichuan Gouwan Neolithic Site
It is located to the east of the Gouwan Formation in Zhangying Village, Shangji Town, on the secondary platform on the east bank of the Xishui River, about 30 kilometers west of the Xishui River. 800 meters, surrounded by mountains and located in a small basin. The site is one of the cultural relics protection projects in the Danjiangkou Reservoir submerged area of ??the South-to-North Water Diversion Middle Route Project.
The Xichuan Gouwan Neolithic site is also the first prehistoric site with the characteristics of a "ring-trench settlement" discovered in the middle reaches of the Han River, filling a gap in the archeology of prehistoric settlements in the region. It was selected as one of the "Five New Archaeological Discoveries in Henan Province" in 2008.
