Chemical precipitation method: mainly divided into lime method and sulfide precipitation method. Lime method is widely used in industry to treat acidic wastewater containing heavy metal ions such as copper. The mechanism is that alkali (usually calcium hydroxide) is added to the wastewater to increase its pH value, so that heavy metal ions such as copper can generate insoluble hydroxide precipitation, thus reducing the copper ion content in the wastewater and reaching the discharge standard. The process is as follows
: Heavy metal acidic wastewater → grit chamber → lime-milk mixed reaction tank → sedimentation tank → purified water → discharge.
Physical and chemical methods generally use ion reverse osmosis membrane, ion exchange, adsorption and other methods to remove copper from waste liquid. Many scholars have also done in-depth research on materialization and achieved certain results.
Activated carbon adsorption is the most commonly used treatment technology for copper-containing wastewater.
