Bai Xueshi

Mr. Bai Xueshi's teacher, Liang Shunian [3], is a disciple of the master of landscape painting, Mr. Qi Jingxi [3]. Qi Jingxi (no. He is famous for his distinctive style, charm and embellishment in the painting circle of the Republic of China. Mr. Bai Xueshi's style of traditional Chinese painting combines the essence of Hushe School and Song Feng School, and he especially likes the bright and clean features.
Bai Xueshi's landscape painters come from the North School and border with the South School. They accept all kinds of paintings, including the rigor of Song painting, the lightness of Yuan painting, the beauty of watercolor painting, the purity, lightness and decoration of printmaking. [4]

In teaching, Bai Xueshi is modest, simple and approachable. He teaches students in every possible way, regardless of pen and ink, composition and skills, without reservation. He always teaches students to know more about the strengths of each school and never shows off his abilities. Bai Xueshi also practiced, insisted on leading students to sketch in the mountains, and repeatedly experienced "learning from nature" in practice. In the long-term art teaching work, Bai Xueshi is rigorous and persuasive, and has trained a large number of artistic talents for the country.

Bai Xueshi's works have been selected for many exhibitions at home and abroad, and have been collected by China Art Museum and other museums. Since 1972, dozens of huge Chinese paintings have been drawn for foreign affairs departments such as Zhongnanhai, the Great Hall of the People and Diaoyutai State Guesthouse.
Japanese publications, "Bai Xueshi Art Exhibition" and other special collections are very popular. Published monographs include Techniques of Chinese Painting, Paintings and Landscape of Rong Baozhai, Complete Works of Bai Xueshi, etc.
Bai Xueshi is good at painting landscapes. Whether it is Huangshan Mountain, Mount Tai or Guilin, his works are full of spirituality and vitality. He skillfully used stone lines, flowers and thick but not turbid pen and ink to set off the bright and clean artistic conception of green mountains and green waters.
His works are fresh and elegant, plain and colorful, with a wide range of themes and strong flavor of the times, especially the turquoise landscape paintings with Guilin as the theme can best reflect and represent Bai Xueshi's painting style. His unique Guilin landscape painting is called "White School Landscape".
