Magnolia Officinalis, also known as Magnolia Officinalis, Magnolia Officinalis (Magnolia Officinalis), Magnolia Officinalis, Mubi, Yutangchun, etc., originated in central China and has been deeply loved by people since ancient times.
In the Tang Dynasty, people called Magnolia grandiflora, Begonia, Peony and Osmanthus fragrans as "Jade Hall with Wealth", which was a symbol of good luck and harmony. They were planted in royal palaces, gardens, palaces and temples.
China has a long history of planting magnolia. In Lisao, the poet Qu Yuan has a famous saying: "Mulan is in the morning, and the island is in the evening." Magnolia in the poem is magnolia. It can be seen that Magnolia grandiflora was widely planted in China 2,5 years ago. Scholars in past dynasties have left many poems praising Magnolia, such as: "Graceful new makeup, jade and splendor, a thousand teams of moths surrounded by snow"; "A piece of new makeup in the evening, a bundle of Tingting and Yutangchun"; "Rhyme friends know themselves well, and see white dresses clearly through the curtains"; "Where the famous flowers in the deep valley move, Sensen Wang Shu mei Qing Yi" and so on.
There are hundreds or even thousands of years-old ancient magnolias in many places in China, among which the most famous ones are the two Tang Dynasty purple magnolias in the "Shuangyulantang" in Yulan Village, Ganquan Township, Tianshui City, Gansu Province, also known as "Mulan". These two purple magnolias are precious "cinnabar magnolias" with a history of more than 13 years. The height of the two trees is about 25 meters, and the trunk circumference is 6.8 meters and 6 meters respectively.
Mr. Qi Baishi, the late famous Chinese painting master in China, once painted the magnolia of these two magnolia trees and inscribed the plaque of "Double Magnolia Hall", which added cultural color to these two precious purple magnolia trees.
In addition, there are three Song Dynasty Magnolia trees in Yanfu Taoist Temple, a suburb of Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province, and one of them, "Magnolia King", is 3.5 meters long. Magnolia in Song Dynasty in Zijinan, Dongting Mountain, Taihu Lake, Jiangsu Province, Magnolia in Ming Dynasty in Mount Hengshan, Nanyue, and Magnolia in Ming Dynasty in Qixian Temple, Guling, Lushan Mountain, Jiangxi Province are all treasures of magnolia trees in China.
