Parenting poems

Be ashamed of nothing.

Happy to have children and grandchildren to study.

Written by Shen Han, a bachelor of cabinet and assistant minister of rites during the Kangxi period of Qing Dynasty.

There is no article that can be circulated in the world. You should be happy in know life. The second part is excited about the next generation's thirst for knowledge and willing to show it.

Keep your ancestors true and be thrifty.

Teach your children and grandchildren to take the right path and read only about farming.

Wang Shizhen, a scholar in Qing Dynasty, has an ancestral couplet hanging in his home. Ancestors warned their descendants that their intentions were good.

The ancients educated their children, mostly by farming and studying, and managed their families diligently. Farming by men and weaving by women can solve the problem of survival, study and cultivate one's morality, and lead a spiritual life with cultural accumulation, which shows the wanton and indifferent life realm of the ancients.

Wealth is impermanent, boy. Don't forget poverty.

Sages can learn, but I read poetry.

It was written by Jiang Xinyu, a poet in the Qing Dynasty, and this godson was hung on both sides of the ancestral tablet for future generations to remember forever.

Wealth is impermanent As the saying goes, "wealth cannot exceed three generations", only good family education and family style can be relied on. Loyalty is a family heirloom, and poetry and books are passed down from generation to generation.

Ten thousand books are suitable for children.

In ten years, trees have sprung up from the storm.

This couplet was written by a top scholar in Zibo in Qing Dynasty.

The first part teaches reading, and the second part compares "ten years of trees" to "educating people".

Similar couplets were written by Tan in Qing Dynasty, "thousands of books is suitable for children, and thousands of chapters are covered by clouds";

With Huang Tingjian's poems as the first couplet and Mei Shi as the second couplet, "thousands of books can teach children and ten acres of land can be planted with pine";

I don't know the author's couplet, "What is left to children and grandchildren may not be good words; Self-reliance and self-improvement, your quality and knowledge will be excellent. "

The poor don't sell books, but raise their children to study.

The old man also grows bamboo to watch with others.

This pair of couplets is written by an honorable man.

Shanglian said that no matter how poor you are, you will not sell books and leave them to future generations.

The progress of human beings and the development of families are inseparable from reading, learning and acquiring knowledge. When a family encounters temporary difficulties, if they want to get out of the predicament, they can't be eager for quick success and instant benefit, especially they can't reduce their investment in education and give up their children's study. Otherwise, it will only fall into a vicious circle of getting poorer and less understanding and getting poorer and poorer. When families encounter difficulties, even if they are careful and frugal, they should increase investment in education so that future generations can receive a good education.

The second couplet says that bamboo should be planted when it is old and shown to others.

Scholars have given bamboo a symbolic meaning of humility, nobility and tenacity. "Old people still plant bamboo to see people" is to inspire people to keep a beautiful dusk, set an example, influence future generations and leave a beautiful scenery for the world.

Bite a few useful books and you can eat and drink.

Cultivate several new bamboos as straight as children and grandchildren.

It was written by Zheng Banqiao, a painter in Qing Dynasty.

Through this couplet, Zheng Banqiao taught his children to read some good books intensively and be as vigorous, modest, honest and frank as Hsinchu.

Less reading means less talent.

Being mean is really a big mistake.

Written by Wang Zhichun, a scholar in Qing Dynasty.

The first part says that a person's talent depends entirely on the degree of hard work the day after tomorrow, and the low talent is due to less reading, thus encouraging future generations to read more.

The second couplet teaches children and grandchildren not to be mean. It's really a big mistake to be mean.

China's entry into WTO requires more frugality.

Accumulate virtue and return books to generations.

In the late Qing Dynasty, He Zizhen's anthology "Fighting for Seats" combined with words to teach children.

The Book of Changes said that "respecting morality and spreading industry", and He Zizhen's godson also emphasized that virtue is more important than talent, and besides virtue, knowledge and culture should be accumulated.

Willing to remain poor and practice self-denial

Tired of worldly affairs, trying to cultivate one's morality.

By Sun Jipu, a scholar in Qing Dynasty.

Being poor and self-controlled and indifferent to ambition can avoid many troubles in life; Self-denial and self-improvement can bring infinite opportunities in life.

If you want to get rid of your troubles, you must have no me.

Go through all the hardships to be a good person

1924 Feng Yuxiang wrote this couplet for his son who is going to study abroad.

"No self" means that there is no false hope, and there is naturally less trouble without false hope.

"Go through hardships" is a hard life, but a hard life can temper people's will and improve their ability. Therefore, Li Ka-shing said that "one can bear hardships first, and bear hardships second". Only by working hard can he bear hardships.
