Brief introduction of Xiangtangshan scenic spot

Xiangtang Mountain Scenic Area is located in Handan City, where there are world-class grottoes, which is an important place for the inheritance of Buddhist culture. The exquisite grotto culture and sculpture have attracted a large number of tourists, and the wisdom of ancestors has been reflected in these exquisite works of art. The following is a detailed tour guide.

Brief introduction of Xiangtangshan scenic spot

Xiangtang Mountain, located in Fengfeng Mining Area, Handan City, Hebei Province, is divided into two parts: Nanxiangtang Mountain and Beixiangtang Mountain. It is a national key cultural relics protection unit. These two mountains belong to the branch of Taihang Mountain. Nanxiangtang Mountain was originally named Fushan and Beixiangtang Mountain was originally named Gushan. During the Eastern Wei and Northern Qi Dynasties, the royal nobles built two temples on the mountain, formerly known as Fushan Grottoes and Gushan Grottoes. This is the Southern and Northern Dynasties in China, more than 500 years ago/kloc-0.

Because I couldn't climb the mountain with the old man, I only went to Beixiangtang Mountain. Even so, the old man gave up halfway up the mountain.

There are nine caves in the north, which are cut on steep cliffs and divided into three groups: south, north and middle. A group of grottoes in the middle looks like pavilions, with flowers, animals and Buddha statues embossed on the inner wall, which is simple and elegant.

The largest is the Buddha Cave, which is13.3m wide and12.5m deep. There is a sitting Buddha about 4 meters high in the cave. The Buddha statue is elegant and dignified, full of muscles, soft lines and plain face. Although this Buddha statue has been eroded by thousands of years of wind and rain, it is still as clean as new.

In the Buddha Cave, looking at these exquisite sculptures, the light came from the Ming Cave, and the light was as indifferent as dust. Compared with Longmen, Yungang and Maijishan, the scale here is of course much smaller, but the shock of the first meeting is the same.

In retrospect, we not only admire the wisdom and art of the ancients, but also feel sorry for the catastrophe experienced by these Buddha statues. Perhaps history is moving forward in such regrets, and it is the merits and demerits of people at that time, and later people will say.

Except for the stone carvings, almost all the existing ancient buildings in Beishan were destroyed. There is a Qiaole Temple at the foot of the mountain. Now there is only one brick tower in the Song Dynasty, and the hay falls in the sun, witnessing the vicissitudes of history.

Xiangtang Temple Grottoes are located in Gushan, Fengfeng Mining Area, Handan City, about 30 kilometers away from Handan City. You can search directly when navigating. The nearby mining area is muddy, so people who insist on cleaning should pay attention, but it is still very clean after entering the scenic spot.
