In the fifteenth year of Wu Dynasty, namely 1382, the Mid-Autumn Festival was celebrated in Yan on the fifteenth day of the eighth lunar month. Suddenly, he received news from the imperial court that another great event had happened in Beijing. This is not a big case, but it is a big case. It turns out that Ma Huanghou died of illness five days ago. The death of the queen was the top priority at that time. Judy got up without hesitation and went to the capital to attend Ma Huanghou's funeral.
As mentioned earlier, it was not born, but was born by a Mongolian woman named Qi. Ma Huanghou has never actually given birth to a child. The Prince, the King of Qin and the King of Jin are not from Li Sheng. He and He both came from the same family. However, from the Prince to the King of Zhou, everyone said that he was born in Ma Huanghou, and Judy was no exception. He considers himself the eldest son of Ma Huanghou. This time, Ma Huanghou died suddenly. In order to show filial piety, he hurried to Beijing to attend the funeral.
The fifteenth year of Hiroshi was a very unfortunate year for Zhu Yuanzhang. In the fifth lunar month, he just lost his grandson. Three months later, the queen died of illness. Funerals twice a year. At this time, Zhu Yuanzhang was 55 years old. At that time, 55 years old was already an old man. The death of his grandson and wife was a heavy blow to such an old man.
The relationship between Zhu Yuanzhang and Ma Huanghou is extraordinary. That's husband and wife in the same boat. Ma Huanghou's parents died young because they had an old friendship with Guo Zixing, the general of the Red Scarf Army, and were adopted by Guo Zixing. After Zhu Yuanzhang defected to Guo Zixing, he was appreciated by Guo Zixing and betrothed his adopted daughter to Zhu Yuanzhang. At that time, Zhu Yuanzhang was touched by his wife's light and thought that her husband valued his wife. Since then, Ma Shi and her husband have been serving in the army. On one occasion, Zhu Yuanzhang angered Guo Zixing and was locked up and refused to eat. Ma Shi is of course very upset. What should I do? Baked a cake overnight, afraid of being discovered, secretly held it in his arms and quietly gave it to Zhu Yuanzhang. As a result, the skin on his chest was burned. When competing with Zhu Yuanzhang, Ma Shi took women to sew uniforms and make military shoes, and took out her own softness to reward meritorious soldiers. In a word, Ma Shi helped Zhu Yuanzhang a lot.
After Ma Shi became queen, she was strict and loose in the management of the harem. Although his background is not noble, he is really respected, and his mother is the best in the world. It is said that she often advised Zhu Yuanzhang to save his hero and not to kill innocent people. This time, knowing that she was hopeless, she refused to take medicine or make people pray. Because she was afraid that if taking medicine and praying for blessings didn't work, Zhu Yuanzhang would blame the ineffective doctors and officials who didn't pray for them after his death.
Ma Huanghou's funeral is scheduled for September 24th.
The original text of the four proverbs in Zongshu is as follows: "Rain falls, heaven cries, and thunder cries. Western Buddhists send horses together. " Today it rains because God is crying and thunders because the earth is sad. He described thunder and rain as the sorrow of heaven and earth, and Ma Huanghou became the real Buddha in the west. Look, all the Buddhas in the West have come to see Ma Huanghou off today. It was really touching. Hearing this, Zhu Yuanzhang immediately turned anger into joy, so Ma Huanghou's funeral was held in a thunderstorm.
Whether this legend is true or not is difficult to verify now. Because there was no meteorological record in Nanjing at that time, I don't know if it rained that day. But Zong Shu was a highly cultivated monk at that time. He is not only proficient in Buddhism, but also has a good study of Taoist and Confucian classics. In such an urgent situation, he used his great wisdom to alleviate the predicament at that time, and maybe it really happened.
In this funeral procession, besides the legend of Zong Shu, there was an episode related to a monk.
It turned out that Judy and several captured governors asked Zhu Yuanzhang for filial piety. Because they couldn't mourn Ma Huanghou for a long time in the capital, they asked if they could send some eminent monks to join them and pray for their mother in the fief. This was filial piety at that time, and of course it was also true in Zhu Yuanzhang's mind. At that time, it happened that Ma Huanghou was sent out obituary in the process of writing books, so Zhu Yuanzhang found the books and gave them to him. In addition to inviting candidates to recommend, Zong Shu himself personally selected three eminent monks. One of the unusual roles was assigned to Judy, the prince of Yan.
On this day, the palace manager told Judy that a monk asked to see him, so he was invited in. Judy was taken aback when she saw the monk come in. I saw this monk with a pair of triangular eyes. He looked very strange. When describing him in history books, the words "like a sick tiger" were used. It is conceivable that this monk looks like a sick tiger. What should he look like? It must be morbid, but it still has the momentum of the king of beasts! Judy was immediately attracted by this strange monk. The name of the monk who came in was Yan Tao, who was personally selected by a monk and recorder named Zuo Ji.
Interestingly, although they have never met, they both feel that they hit it off. This should be a kind of fate. In Judy's eyes, this strange monk is unusual He thinks he can be used in the future. In the eyes of this Taoist priest, Judy is also different from the general captaincy. Regardless of temperament or image, he is awesome enough, and he must be a Democrat in the future.
From this moment on, the two men forged an indissoluble bond. This indissoluble bond can be different from ordinary fate. Their meeting is destined to rewrite a period of history. So how did they rewrite history? Where does this judgment come from? The encounter between these two characters is so legendary, so what did they say after they met?
Some history books describe their first meeting like this. When the knife saw it, he said to him, "If your majesty wants me to go to Yan State with you, I will give you a white hat." What exactly does this sentence mean? If you meet a dizzy captain, you may not understand what Yan Tao said. But what kind of person Judy is, you will understand it as soon as you listen. Yan Tao means to help Judy become emperor. To "put a white hat on the king" is to add a white to the word "king". Doesn't that become the word "emperor"? So what he means is to help Judy become an emperor.
Although it is jargon, it is inevitable to spread it to people. How dare these two people! You know, Zhu Yuanzhang was still in power at this time, and Prince Zhu Biao was still there. They openly played the idea of succession, which was incredible. However, this kind of account is found in many historical books, even in the works of great scholars like Li Zhi. If this thing is true, there is only one possibility. It is an open secret that the king covets the throne. Then why did Dao Yan dare to make such a promise and say such big words? What kind of person is he? We really need to spend some time here to talk about this monk.
Daoyan monk
This Taoist priest is really an extraordinary figure. He was none other than Yao, one of the two great counselors in the early Ming Dynasty, who was later on par with Liu Bowen. He helped Judy win the throne and became the first hero captured by Judy. However, at this time, he became a monk, and his dharma name was Taoist. The name "Yao" was given to him by Qin after he helped him win the world.
The picture comes from the internet.
Yao was called Yao Tianxi when he was a child and lived in Suzhou. His grandfather and father have been doctors for two generations. He has a gift since he was a child. He is not interested in ancestral medicine and always wants to make a career. One day, he was walking in the street of Suzhou when he suddenly saw a group of pedestrians making trouble. They all made way to the side of the road. Looking from Yao's crowd, I saw a group of people in the street, and a person in the middle was surrounded, which was awesome. It turns out that monks and officials in the Yuan Dynasty all went to travel. He admired from the bottom of his heart and made up his mind to become a monk.
Yao became a monk in the 12th year of Yuan Dynasty, namely 1352. Strange to say, two very coincidences happened in the history of China this year. One thing is that Yao became a monk. It was in this year that a monk returned to the secular world and joined the Red Scarf Army under his command. This monk is Zhu Yuanzhang. These two men, a monk and a secularist, happened by accident, but later changed history.
After becoming a monk, Yao not only studied Buddhism, but also worshipped a famous local Taoist as a teacher, learning the art of Yin and Yang from him and studying the art of war at the same time. In addition, he has a deep understanding of Confucianism, so he is knowledgeable and not pedantic. He was born without being world-weary, became a monk in middle age and was proficient in Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism.
Suzhou in the Yuan and Ming Dynasties was a place where talents gathered together. There are 10 people in this circle who meet these talents in Yao. Except that he was a monk, all the others were famous Confucian scholars at that time, and they were called "Ten Friends of North Guo" by people at that time. A friend who knows Yao commented on him like this: "There are talents in the world, although they are hidden, they must be useful." In other words, he has the talent to govern the world. Although he is unknown to others, he still hopes to make a difference one day. This is like Zhuge Liang, who was called "Wolong" in Longzhong. He must wait for people of insight to show their talents.
But Suzhou was occupied by Zhang Shicheng at the end of Yuan Dynasty. Although Zhang Shicheng is not a man who can make great achievements, he has one advantage, that is, he respects local scholars, so he recruited many scholars to his door. After Zhang Shicheng was destroyed by Zhu Yuanzhang, these literati became historical figures in the early Ming Dynasty. Although some people became officials of the new dynasty, they did not gain the trust of Zhu Yuanzhang. Some people were convicted and demoted, while others were even executed by Zhu Yuanzhang as Luo Zhi.
For example, a man named Gao Qi is Yao, one of their "Ten Friends of Northern Guo". Gao Qi, a famous poet in the early Ming Dynasty, once wrote a poem satirizing Zhu Yuanzhang's harem, saying, "I helped her to get drunk and step on moss, and the moon in the West Garden served rice. Dogs bark and flowers shadow, who comes to the palace at night? " It's late at night. It's forbidden to enter the palace. Why would anyone come? This obviously means that Zhu Yuanzhang was born in a rebellious place and did not understand the management of the harem, which led to the chaos of the harem. At that time, some heroic children frequented the harem, and some even went to peek at Chen Youliang's concubine captured by Zhu Yuanzhang. After Zhu Yuanzhang knew it, instead of reflecting on himself, he held a grudge against Gao Qi. Revenge is a dish that should be eaten cold. Zhu Yuanzhang, a narrow-minded and bitter man, didn't attack at that time, but later got the opportunity and ordered Gao Qi to be beheaded. Moreover, in retaliation for Suzhou people following Zhang Shicheng, Zhu Yuanzhang imposed heavy taxes on Suzhou after the founding of the People's Republic of China. At this time, although Yao had become a monk, these things undoubtedly affected his political status. So I personally think that Yao is politically opposed to Zhu Yuanzhang's system. Maybe he thinks that since Zhu Yuanzhang has arranged his successor, I will oppose you and help Judy, the prince of Yan, overthrow your successor. I think this political stance became the main driving force for him to help Judy conquer the world. Of course, it has always been Yao's ideal to assist Mingjun and make contributions.
It is said that one day, he traveled to Songshan and met a fortune teller named Yuan Xun. Yuan Xun looked at Yan Tao's face and said, "This monk is strange, with triangular eyes and a sick tiger shape. He was born a killer. He is a character like Liu! " Who is this Liu? Liu was a monk who helped Kublai Khan conquer the world in the early Yuan Dynasty. These words are exactly what Dao Yan wants. He just wants to find an opportunity to assist a monarch and help him achieve the emperor's career.
On another occasion, he and Zongshu went to Gubei, and he casually recited a poem: "After years of fighting, fireworks are half dry; Where is Xiao Liang's career now? Gubei Qingqing's guests are tired of watching it. " Uncle Zong asked, "Is this what a monk should say?" Yao didn't answer, but responded with a smile. These poems really don't look like monks, but more like far-reaching politicians. But this is the real Yao. Our evaluation of him should never say that he is just a monk, but should regard him as an outstanding politician. Zong Hao knows these things very well. In that case, why did Uncle Zong recommend him to Judy? Does Uncle Zong know Judy's mind well, too? Although there is no relevant account in history, we still can't help but think about it. The encounter between Yao and Yao seems to be a coincidence on the surface, but it is still full of human factors.
According to historical records, on September 24th (mourning day), Yao came to Beijing from Suzhou. He may have visited Judy in the palace as soon as he arrived in the capital. Judy was naturally very happy to get such a monk and immediately decided to invite him to Beiping. This year1October 18, he left Beijing and returned to Beiping. Before returning to Beiping, Yao left for the north on October 1st, which was the sixth day he met in Beijing. It seems that two people really can't wait.
From Yao's poems above, we can know that he went to Beiping this time and sat with the guards on a big ship with a cabin. To this, he also felt a little ridiculous, so he said in the poem:
A stone fell into the water of the city and traveled alone.
Accommodation is the same as self-pity and guards, but who laughs at uniforms?
In the middle of the night, the moon shakes and the cold mast frost.
The wind and rain are coming, and the sorrow should only be for the guest king.
The title of this poem is "Jinling sails to Beiping on October 1st", which is included in Yao's poetry collection. It describes how he left Nanjing and went north by boat. He ate and lived with the guards on the road, bid farewell to the familiar Jiangnan and went to a strange northern country. At this time, it is early winter in October, and there is a feeling of hard work in the frost and cold. However, he did not leave much, because he felt that he had found a democratic leader.
Strangely, the first thing Yao did when he arrived was to take a boat with strict guards. He is predestined friends not only with Judy, but also with Judy's soldiers. His popularity is good from top to bottom. It coincides with the official start of Yao's seizure of office.
Palace secret minister
After Yao came to Beiping, he first became the abbot of Qingshou Temple. At that time, the temple was on today's West Chang 'an Avenue, close to Yan, and it was very convenient to enter and leave Yan. Of course, this is also Judy's intentional arrangement.
There are two brick towers in this temple, one with seven floors and the other with nine floors. The nine-story brick tower is the tomb tower of Liu, the founding father of the Yuan Dynasty, and there is a memorial to Liu in the temple. Liu's tomb is not far north of Lugou Bridge. After Yao arrived in Peiping, he visited the house twice and wrote the following poems: "A good horse is the same color until people mix customs;" If you don't meet a bosom friend, you will never complain. Great plans have been made, and the name is simple. "This poem seems to praise Liu, saying that a capable person is like a good horse, wandering between horses of the same color. Don't complain if you don't meet your bosom friend. But once the opportunity comes, the monarch and his subjects can work together with Qi Xin to make great achievements in Qixin and go down in history. But I don't know whether the subject here is Kublai Khan and Liu or himself.
Anniversary Shousi Temple is very close to Yan, so it is convenient for Yao to walk from Shousi Temple. Besides, Judy invited him to recite the scriptures, and he became a frequent visitor to the palace. Judy often talks with him in secret to avoid others. Although the content of the conversation was not recorded in the history books, it is obvious that most of what they talked about was related to gaining power from their later actions.
In the second year after Judy returned to Peiping, his father-in-law, Wei Guogong Xu Da, came to Peiping to take charge of military affairs on orders from Zhu Yuanzhang, but soon fell ill. When his condition improved slightly, he was taken back to the capital Nanjing to recuperate. Who knows that a few months later, his condition suddenly deteriorated and he died. As mentioned earlier, it was later said that Xu Da was killed by a steamed goose sent by Zhu Yuanzhang. After Xu Da's death, Zhu Yuanzhang was so kind that he made Xu Da the king of Zhongshan in 1600, and let Xu Da's eldest son Xu Huizu attack Wei and hold a grand funeral. The death of a hero like Xu Da was the most welcome result of Zhu Yuanzhang. Didn't you say that Xu Da was a childhood friend of Zhu Yuanzhang's army and a "lad"? This dignified death not only saved my childhood partner, but also wiped out a hero who mastered military power.
So what will Judy think of this?
Judy should have mixed feelings about Xu Da's death. Why do you say that? First of all, Xu Da was his father-in-law and fell in love with Weng Xu. Princess Xu has a good relationship with her. She has the pain of losing her father, and Judy will inevitably be accompanied by her sadness. This is a pity. But Xu Da was the commander-in-chief in charge of the northern military affairs. After his death, there will never be a military commander who will be respected and expected like him. As the governor of Wang Zhiyi's three northern regions, Judy can gradually develop her power and control the military power according to her own wishes, which is gratifying. This is the most important thing for Judy. As mentioned above, even Judy's biological mother can't openly admit her status, and Xu Da is just an old father-in-law. Since ancient times, emperors have been proud of your family, fighting for power and profit, and family ties have to give way to power.
In addition, after Yao arrived in Peiping, he appeared to be a monk who praised the scriptures and blessed them. In fact, since then, he has become Judy's number one strategist. Aren't they plotting to seize power? Then the first priority is to master the military power. To master military power, we must first start with officers in the northern army. Yao is different from those ignorant monks. He is an experienced man, so people are used to hanging out with soldiers in the military guard for a long time. Besides, the soldiers are very
However, Judy can't replace the hero at this time. If he wants to seize the military power, he can only make friends with the soldiers in the North Army and bide his time. He is very clever in this respect.
One day, Judy got the news in the palace and General Aquamarine came to visit. Aquamarine is a very arrogant hero. He is in charge of the military in the north, and his army is stationed near Beiping. However, Judy had no contact with him at that time, so why did he come to the door in person? It turned out that Aquamarine led a division to the north, captured some famous horses, and specially selected some for Judy to make friends with. Judy is a vassal king who is famous for her bravery. Of course, he likes good horses and is greedy at heart. But this time, he said to aquamarine seriously, "I accepted these famous horses before they were presented to the court." Doesn't this make me disrespect my father and my father? "So he refused aquamarine. However, when he heard that he was brave and good at fighting in the north, he quickly invited Yan and was treated well, especially close.
Why did Judy do this?
The reason here is actually very simple. For those heroes who Zhu Yuanzhang is bent on getting rid of, Judy must not show any excessive communication or even deliberate alienation. Because he knew that those heroes could not only be used for themselves, but making friends with them would arouse Zhu Yuanzhang's suspicion, which was called doing all kinds of harm without benefiting. But these young generals are different. They are talented and motivated. But because there is no capital, it needs promotion to develop. Therefore, if we can win them over and become our confidants, they will definitely come in handy in the future.
Soon Judy's kindness came in handy.
