A Bing's composition of busking for a living.

A Bing, A Bing, was born in the 19th year of Guangxu reign (August 17th, 1893). A Bing was born in "Yihe Mountain House" next to Leizun Temple in Wuxi. Later, he became blind due to eye diseases. His father, Hua Qinghe, is the master Taoist of Leizun Hall, a Taoist temple in Sanqing Hall in Wuxi City, and he is good at Taoist music. Hua Yanjun lost his mother at the age of 3 and was raised by his aunt. At the age of 8, he worked as a Taoist priest with his father in Leizun Hall. I began to study in a private school for three years, and then learned drums, flutes, erhu, pipa and other musical instruments from my father. At the age of 12, he has been able to play a variety of musical instruments, and often participates in activities such as confessing, chanting and playing music. At the age of 18, he was praised as an expert in Wuxi Taoist music.

At the age of 22, his father died, and he continued to be the Taoist priest in Leizun Hall. Later, due to carelessness in making friends, he was infected with the bad habits of prostitution and drug abuse. At the age of 34, his eyes were blind. In order to make a living, he carried the erhu on his back, took to the streets, wrote and sang, rapped news and became a street performer. At the age of 4, she lived with the widow Dong Caidi. Singing in the paddock in front of Chong'an Temple Sanwanchang Teahouse every afternoon. He dares to cut to the chase, attack the social darkness, and attract the audience with popular rap forms. After the 28 th Incident, he composed and sang the news of "The 19th Route Army bravely fought against the enemy in Shanghai" and played March of the Volunteers with erhu. In the campaign against Japanese goods, he used passionate language to inspire people's patriotic enthusiasm. Many of his news have sung the hearts of the masses and won the love of ordinary citizens. Every night, I walk around the streets, playing erhu with my hands, and playing while walking, with a touching tone. The "Two Springs Reflecting the Moon", which is famous in the international music world, was created during this period. After the Japanese invaded Wuxi, A Bing and Dong Caidi took refuge in their hometown together. He soon went to Shanghai, worked as a pianist in Kunqu Opera Banxianni Society, played Sanxian, and acted as a blind person in the movie seventh heaven. At this time, his "Listening to Song" was a heroic and emotional erhu solo, which poured out his patriotic enthusiasm of not wanting to be conquered people. In 28 years, he returned to Xicheng and went back to his old job. He goes to the teahouse every morning to collect all kinds of news, comes back to conceive and create, and sings in front of Chong'an Temple teahouse in the afternoon; Playing the erhu in the street at night and playing his "Cold Spring Breeze". His piano skills are superb. He can put the pipa on his head and play it. He can also use erhu to imitate the voices of men, women and children talking, sighing, laughing and crowing dogs. After War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression's victory, he was forbidden to rap news in a fixed place in Chong'an Temple. In 36 years of the Republic of China, he suffered from lung disease and vomited blood in bed. Since then, he has stopped busking in the streets and made a living by repairing the huqin at home.

On July 23rd, 1949, when Wuxi was liberated, A Bing and his music "Two Springs Reflecting the Moon" were reborn. In the summer of 195, in order to explore, study and preserve folk music, the teachers and students of the Central Conservatory of Music entrusted Professor Yang Yinliu and others to make a special trip to Wuxi to record three erhu songs, such as Two Springs Reflecting the Moon, Listening to Pines and Cold Spring Breeze, and three pipa songs, such as Big Waves for Sand, Dragon Boat and Zhaojun Out of the Plug.

Hua Xuemei is proficient in various musical instruments and Taoist music. A Bing showed a rare musical talent when he was young. When he was 1 years old, his father taught him to beat the stone against the cold and practice various rhythms (and later became a famous local drummer). At the age of 12, A Bing began to learn to play the flute. His father often asked him to play against the tuyere and hang iron rings on the end of the flute to enhance his wrist strength. Later, he simply replaced the iron rings with weights. When A Bing studied erhu, he worked harder. His strings were stained with blood and his fingers were pulled out with thick cocoons. The outer strings of the erhu played by A Bing were much thicker than the ordinary ones, which was inseparable from his perennial practice. At the age of 17, A Bing formally participated in Taoist music playing. He was handsome and had a good voice. He was known as "Little Tianshi".

A Bing died of illness on December 4, 195, at the age of 57.

A Bing's life is full of dramatic ups and downs. It is said that the only image left in his life is a standard photo on the "Good Citizen's Card" during the Japanese and Puppet rule in Wuxi. In the photo, the skinny middle-aged man with blind glasses, under a broken felt hat, shows the hardships and vicissitudes of life. Perhaps A Bing's suffering from fate is the reason for his touching music. This illegitimate child of Hua Qinghe was born deprived of the right of family love. When his biological mother reluctantly ended her life to resist secular discrimination, some hidden parts of the child's personality were already visible. The teenager who has been in foster care for several years has returned to his biological father Hua Qinghe, and his eyes may be more puzzled. I know from the information that he called "Master" and came to his father who was a Taoist. Huaqing and Xuemei are proficient in all kinds of musical instruments. A Bing studied hard and soon mastered the playing skills of erhu, sanxian, pipa and flute. At the moment, A Bing still thinks that he is just an orphan who is taken care of by good people. However, when he was 21 years old, A Bing suddenly understood his life experience before Huaqing and died of illness.

the days ahead are also embarrassing. Hua Yanjun, the new Taoist in charge of Lei Zun Hall in the virtual palace of Taoist Temple in Wuxi City, seems to let himself go, eating, drinking, gambling and even smoking opium. The absurd life brought absurd results: because syphilis invaded his eyes, he lost control of the Taoist temple. After living on the street, the tribe arranged Dong Caidi, a rural widow in Jiangyin, to take care of him. Things are so contradictory. A Bing in pain and despair didn't break the jar. In the days that followed, a creative folk artist who rapped about current events and entertained in the street was born again, who was famous as "A Bing the Blind". There is an article recalled by a witness at that time, saying that after the Japanese invaded Wuxi, A Bing and Dong Caidi went out to take refuge, and worked as pianists playing sanxian in Shanghai's Kunqu Opera Banxianni Society, during which they even performed a mass role in the film "seventh heaven" filmed at that time.

A Bing composed his most touching music during this period of busking for a living. There are many stories about the spread of Erhu music "Two Springs Reflecting the Moon". I accidentally read one of them, saying that Li Songshou, a professor at Nanjing Normal University, was a neighbor with A Bing when he was a child, and he liked erhu when he was a teenager, and he often got instructions from A Bing in playing techniques. Later, he was admitted to the folk music department of Nanjing Art Institute. It's getting cold every day. He moves his fingers outside the teacher's piano room and pulls a piece of music that A Bing taught him. At the end of a song, a man came over and asked him what song he was playing. The teacher told him that the gentleman who asked him was Professor Yang Yinliu from the Central Conservatory of Music. Li Songshou said that this piece of music was taught by a folk artist in his hometown, without a name. Yang Yinliu said that this piece of music is good, and that they are collecting folk music, and they want to record such good folk music with a steel wire recorder just imported from abroad. Li Songshou made an appointment with Professor Yang and returned to his hometown until September, when Yang Yinliu, Cao An and two professors came to Wuxi. This time they brought the task of recording Taoist music in Wuxi. After recording these Taoist music, Li Songshou insisted on asking them to record A Bing's music. When A Bing finished playing a song, Professor Yang Yinliu asked the name of the song softly, but A Bing said there was no name. Professor Yang said that you can't do it without a name. You have to think of one. A Bing went on to say that it is called "Two Springs Printing on the Moon". Professor Yang also said that the name "Printing on the Moon" is too heavy for Cantonese music. If it is not called "Reflecting on the Moon", is there a mountain and lake in Wuxi? A Bing said, well, if you are knowledgeable, I will listen to you.

On this matter, Mr. Li Songshou said in his reminiscence article: On September 2, 195, my wife and I accompanied Yang Yinliu, Cao An and two gentlemen to find A Bing for recording, and the recording didn't end until 7: 3 pm that day. When recording, A Bing was in poor health, and his strength was not enough. The piano was also found temporarily, so the recording of "Two Springs Reflecting the Moon" was not the best. A Bing's last performance was on September 25th, 195, that is, the 23rd day after recording, which seemed to be a literary performance of the inaugural meeting of Wuxi Dental Association. A Bing supported his sick body to go out. Because he walked slowly, the performance was almost over when he arrived at the venue. I helped A Bing onto the stage and sat in front of the microphone. This is the first time that A Bing has performed in front of the microphone in his life, and it is also the only time. A Bing played the pipa at first, and then someone in the audience called for A Bing to play the erhu. My wife and I told A Bing to pay attention to his health and not to play. A Bing said: "I play the piano for the folks in Wuxi, and I am willing to die." Then he played "Two Springs Reflecting the Moon" for many times. I remember there were people everywhere, even the windows were full of people. At the end of the performance, the audience applauded and cheered constantly. A Bing took off his hat and nodded.

more than 8 years ago, the piano played by A Bing, a busker and beggar, often fluttered over the streets of Wuxi. His impromptu performance not only achieved the self-described elegy of "Two Springs Reflecting the Moon", but more importantly, it got rid of the mentality of enjoying the play and rose to a sense of fate that was with me. Concern for the world, self-thinking, and suffering make some people easily compare him with Beethoven. It's not that it's hard for people to live, or that the ancients said that "heaven will be great for people in Sri Lanka", but their true behavior. A great work is a history of the soul, which reflects the reason why people stand. What I often feel in A Bing's music is that at that moment, I can distinguish between right and wrong. I remember a passage introducing Japanese conductor Seiji Ozawa, saying that he told others with tears when he first heard the music "Two Springs Reflecting the Moon": "Music like this should be listened to on your knees."

because of the recording in 195, A Bing kept six pieces of music that he composed, namely, Er Quan Ying Yue, Ting Song, Cold Spring Breeze, Pipa, Big Waves for Sand, Dragon Boat and Zhaojun Out of the Plug, which are well known to the world today. This is a fortunate thing. As a folk artist, his hard life may be just one of countless blood and tears in history. Fortunately, he had an opportunity, not only to express himself with his own hands and notes, but also to infect other hearts with the help of music.

Huishan Spring in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province is known as "the second spring in the world". Naming the music "Two Springs Reflecting the Moon" not only introduces people into the artistic conception of quiet night, clear spring and cold moon, but also makes them feel like seeing the person when listening to Bi Quan-an upright and tenacious blind artist pouring out his bumpy life to people.

After the short introduction, the melody goes up from Shang Yin to Jiao Yin, and then stops at the sign and Jiao Yin, ending with Gong Yin, which is a microwave-shaped melody line, just like the author sitting by the spring meditating on the past (fragment 1). The second phrase has only two bars, and * * * appears six times in the whole song. It starts at the high octave of the ending of the first phrase. Swinging up and down around Gong Yin broke the silence in front of him and began to be high, revealing the author's infinite feelings (fragment 2). When entering the third sentence, the melody flows in the high-pitched area, and new rhythm factors appear. The melody is soft and firm, and the mood is more exciting. The theme gradually changed from calm and deep at the beginning to high spirits, which profoundly revealed the author's inner life feelings and tenacious and proud will to live. The frequent use of his notes in his performance makes the music feel a little sad, which is the emotional expression of a blind artist who has suffered a lot from human bitterness and pain.

The theme of the whole song is changed five times. With the presentation, extension and development of the music, the expressed feelings are more fully expressed. Its variation technique is mainly through the expansion and contraction of sentence width, combined with the rise and fall of melody activity range to express the development and circuitous progress of music. Its many variations are not to express different musical emotions, but to deepen the theme, so the musical image shaped by the music is relatively single and concentrated. The speed of the whole song changes little, but its strength changes greatly, from pp to ff. Whenever playing music longer than quarter notes, the bow changes in weight, strength and weakness, and the music rises and falls, which is exciting.

In May 1979, the tomb was destroyed, and the bones were picked up in situ by Wuxi Museum. In 1983, it was moved to the present site at the east foot of Huishan and south of Er Quan. "Two Springs Reflect the Moon" is a erhu song written by Hua Yanjun (A Bing), a famous blind folk artist, and recorded and spread in 195. Since the song came out, Hua Yanjun is not only an outstanding folk musician in China in the form of erhu solo. People from Wuxi, Jiangsu. He has been playing music since childhood and has been adapted into various forms of instrumental music, which is famous at home and abroad for its beautiful lyrical melody and deeply touching musical connotation.

Huishan Spring in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province is known as "the second spring in the world". The author named the music "Two Springs Reflecting the Moon", which is related to A Bing's unfortunate experience in the old society. From the music, we can feel that when the author used the scenery to express his feelings and lamented his life experience, he also revealed his resentment against the old society. In the Collection of A Bing's Songs, he once said, "After he lost his sight, he used musical images to describe the beautiful scenery he had witnessed in the old days." "But what he felt at that time was the darkness around him, which made him always show a sad and desolate mood in his beautiful melody."

The musical structure of Er Quan Ying Yue is a traditional variation. At the beginning of the music, the short introduction and the downward melody of the scale, like a gentle sigh with mixed feelings, brought people into a deep artistic conception. Theme music reminds people of a blind artist with a bamboo stick wandering on the bumpy road of life, infinite sadness and endless desolation. "Two Springs Reflect on the Moon" is gradually developed to form the whole song under the repeated variations of the above tones. Through the variations, it deepens the musical image layer by layer, making people feel that A Bing has told people all kinds of sufferings and encounters over and over again with irresistible feelings. In the second half of the music, the music was further developed, and the accumulated feelings were generate. The music reached a climax, intense and angry, showing A Bing's unique temperament and courage. This is the voice of the author's angry accusation against the old society, which profoundly reflects A Bing's stubborn and resolute character and expresses his uncompromising resistance and struggle against the dark forces.

Two Springs Reflect on the Moon is distinct and integrated, with beautiful melody, simplicity and vigor, touching music, but even more irritating. It is a masterpiece handed down from ancient times by a poor blind artist in China, and it is deeply loved by audiences at home and abroad.

Spring is sad and the moon is cold, and people are emotional
