Chen Qingzhi (484-539), courtesy name Ziyun, was a native of Guoshan County, Yixing County (now Yixing City, Jiangsu Province). A famous general of Liang Dynasty in the Southern Dynasties.
From Xiao Yan
Chen Qingzhi followed Xiao Yan, Emperor Wu of Liang Dynasty, since he was a child. Xiao Yan liked to play chess and often stayed up all night long. He often considered serving the country and was invited to serve as a posthumous official.
