Jianjiang cultural background

With developed culture, simple folk customs, talented people and profound historical and cultural heritage, Jianjiang River Basin is a unique "land of geomantic omen". The beautiful scenery of Jianjiang River attracted countless literati and wrote many magnificent poems. In the Qing Dynasty, Yong 'an Deng's poem Jian Jiang said: "The mountains are like hairpin jasper, and the water is like green Luo. Who will come to Qin in the mirror and shine in the clear waves for generations "; Wu Chuanlin Zhaotang's first poem: "Surrounding the pagoda in chaos, winding the water and holding the sand ball" is a vivid portrayal of the magnificent scenery of Jianjiang in that year.

Jianjiang Plain has not only beautiful scenery, but also profound historical and cultural accumulation. Since ancient times, there have been many talented people, including poets, literati and people with lofty ideals. As far as the downstream direction of Jianjiang River is concerned, the left river includes Wuyang, Tang Wei, Dajiangshan and Changqi, and the right river includes Huang Po, Wen Zhen, Tangzuo and Zhangpu. For a long time, the legend of "Zuojiang is a civilian and Youjiang is a military attache" has been interpreted on both sides of Jianjiang River. The famous ministers of Zuojiang include Lin Zhaotang, the champion of western Guangdong, a scholar of Song Dynasty, a poet of Qing Dynasty and a folk legend Mai. The officers attached to Youjiang include General Peng Yu, Governor of Qiongzhou in Qing Dynasty, General Dou Zhenbiao, Prefect of Guangdong Navy in Qing Dynasty, Pang Xiong, one of the 72 martyrs of Huanghuagang, Li Hanhun, General Zhang Yan, and Zhang Shide, Chairman of Guangdong Province of the National Government.
