Bodhi is the transliteration of Sanskrit Bodhi, which means awareness, wisdom and knowledge. The old translation also means Tao. It means awareness, wisdom, great enlightenment, clear mind and nature. There are three types of Bodhi: Sound Hearer Bodhi, Pratyekabuddha Bodhi, and Buddha Bodhi. The latter (Buddha's Bodhi) is the highest enlightenment and wisdom.
Sravaka Bodhi is to truly observe and practice the "emptiness of the five aggregates" and the "emptiness of the eighteen realms" and eliminate the "self-view". Not taking the conscious mind as true is always good. Confirm the illusory nature of this "I". Therefore, one can be without self, and can even destroy this self and enter "Nirvana without Remaining". The main methods of practice are "Four Noble Truths", "Eightfold Path", "Thirty-Seven Paths", etc. The ultimate fruit is "Arahant".
Pratyekabuddhi is the realization that the twelve dependent originations are all "empty in nature". Therefore, "self-view" and "self-grasping" can be eradicated and "nirvana without remainder" can be achieved. The ultimate fruit is "Pratyekabuddha".
Buddha Bodhi, also known as "Supreme Bodhi", is based on touching the true heart of all living beings (enlightenment of the mind), and can realize and observe this "non-birth and non-destruction", "can be born" The sincerity of "everything is possible". After enlightenment and practice, one can gradually understand the various subtle operations of this true mind. Therefore, all behaviors can be turned to the true heart and no longer "create karma", and the pollution of all "karma" hidden in the true heart since beginningless kalpas can be repaired. Practice truthfully until you become a Buddha.
Extended information:
The second volume of "Lotus Sutra" states that Buddha Bodhi has three kinds of Bodhi: Ying Buddha, Repaying Buddha and Dharma Buddha. The enlightenment of Gaya is called Ying Buddha Bodhi. The attainment of permanent nirvana upon completion of the earthly conduct is called the Bodhi of the Repaying Buddha, and the pure nirvana of the Tathagata's treasure-nature is called the Bodhi of the Dharma Buddha. In Volume 18 of the "Mahayana Chapter" "The Meaning of Supreme Bodhi", it is believed that there are two types of supreme Bodhi: Bodhi of convenience and Bodhi of pure nature.
Also, regarding the nature of supreme Bodhi, the third volume of "Bodhisattva Ground Sutra" "Supreme Bodhi" states that there are two kinds of judgments, two kinds of wisdom, and pure wisdom, all wisdom, and unimpeded wisdom. Wisdom, and one hundred and forty Buddha Dharma, etc. are its body, possessing the seven supremes, and are the highest among all Bodhisattvas, hence the name Supreme Bodhi.
