The background of this poem is that in the second year of Tianbao (743), Li Bai was waiting for an imperial edict to Hanlin, held a banquet with the royal attendants, wrote many poems (poems written by the emperor), and traveled with friends. There has been a situation in which "Li Bai has a hundred poems about fighting wine, and Chang 'an goes to a restaurant to sleep". However, in the autumn of the second year of Tianbao, he was excluded by other people in the DPRK and was expelled from Chang 'an the following year.
Then came the idea of seclusion in the mountains. This poem highlights the characteristics of Li Bai's creation, and the language is concise and easy to understand. When the first sentence goes south to Ling Du, the word "South" first points out the author's geographical position, and points out that Ling Du is located on the south bank of Weishui. The second sentence "Looking at the Five Mausoleums in the North" depicts the scenery seen by the author from the south bank.
Two sentences, one south and one north, set each other off and become interesting. These two sentences not only describe the author's position, but also pave the way for the content written in the following two sentences. Standing on Ling Du Mountain, the author not only saw the five tombs on the other side, but also saw the magnificent Weihe River and the distant mountains. The word "autumn" in the third sentence "autumn water sunset" points out the creation time of this poem.
Ming characters should be a common causative usage in ancient Chinese, which translates to "make … Ming", meaning that the sunset is brighter because of the reflection of autumn water. On the surface, it is a sunset landscape, but in fact it contains the feeling of "to see the sun, for all his glory, buried by the coming night". This meaning is difficult to understand, but it is not difficult to understand if we combine the background of the author's creation of this poem.
This poem was written in the autumn of the second year of Tang Tianbao, and the poet entered Chang 'an for the second time.
This time, the poet was favored by the emperor, waiting to write to Hanlin, which was the best period in politics. During this period, the poet and many friends traveled all over the mountains and rivers, immersed in the beautiful scenery of mountains and rivers and the aging of beautiful tea. However, because the poet was arrogant and arrogant, he did not collude with the traitors in the DPRK, and he was soon slandered. Therefore, although the author in the poem is describing the scenery, he is actually describing his own present situation.
The "streamer" in the last sentence "streamer extinguishes distant mountains" refers to flowing light. The Weihe River flows, making the El light reflected in the water flickering, and the distant mountains naturally appear as the sun flows. This sentence, like the previous one, hides the author's idea of returning to the mountain behind the description of the scenery.
