The Zhou Dynasty used to be called Lishan Mountain. According to legend, ancient Yu Shun once cultivated land at the foot of the mountain. So it is also called Yu Dengshan and Shungeng Mountain. During the reign of Emperor Kai of Sui Dynasty, many Buddha statues were carved according to the mountain situation, and the "Thousand Buddha Temple" was built, which was called the Thousand Buddha Mountain. In the Tang Dynasty, "Thousand Buddha Temple" was renamed as "xingguo temple". Since the Yuan Dynasty, temple fairs have been held on March 3rd and September 9th. The temple was expanded in the Ming Dynasty, and it became an incense resort. The park was built in 1959 with an area of 166 hectares. Qianfo Mountain, with beautiful scenery and many places of interest, is lined up like a screen. Xingguo temple is located on the mountainside of Qianfo Mountain, with Daxiong Hall, Kannonji Hall and Maitreya Hall opposite Huating Pavilion. On the south side of the Thousand Buddha Cliff, there are more than 0/0 statues of Buddha in Sui Dynasty. On the cliff, from west to east, there are Longquan Cave, Blissful Cave, Qian Lou Cave and Lvzu Cave. Lishan Garden on the east side of Xingguo Temple is a complex of Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism, which contains Shunsi Temple, Luban Temple, Wenchang Pavilion and a sightseeing pavilion, and preserves the stone carvings of the Northern Wei Dynasty, Tang and Song Dynasties. At the eastern foot of the mountain is the Martyrs Cemetery of the Revolution of 1911. If you go up the mountain from Pan Xi Road, you can see the archway of "Seven Words and Nine Halls". The name of the archway is borrowed from the poem of Li He, a poet in the Tang Dynasty, "Looking at qi zhou in the distance, nine cigarettes will burn and a glass of seawater will flow". Climbing up the stairs is the "Yunjing Zen Pass" Square. In recent years, Qianfo Mountain Park has developed greatly, including Peach Blossom Garden, Tourist Cableway, Fangying Garden, Strange Energy Slide, Eighteen Arhats, Sleeping Buddha, Golf Course, Guanyin Garden, Stone Rabbit Garden, Pear Garden and Waterfall. It has gradually developed into a large-scale tourist attraction integrating history, culture, scenery and Buddhism with complete service functions.
Qianfo Mountain is located in the south of Jinan, with an altitude of 258 meters and an area of 166 hectares. It is one of the three major scenic spots in Jinan. It was called Triple Mountain and Mount Li in ancient times. After the Sui Dynasty dug the Buddha statue here, it was renamed Qianfo Mountain, which has been passed down to this day. The stone carvings of Buddha statues are concentrated on the cliffs of the former Buddha in xingguo temple, and the earliest statues are more than 60 stone buddhas in the Sui Dynasty. There are Blissful Cave, Qian Lou Cave and Longquan Cave under the Thousand Buddha Cliff, among which 16 Buddha statues in Blissful Cave are three meters high. The scenic Qianfo Mountain has three winding paths leading to a secluded place on the north side of the mountain, surrounded by pine and cypress, and shaded by the sun. There are Shun Temple, Luban Temple, Wenchang Pavilion and a pavilion. At the northern foot of Qianfo Mountain, there is a ten thousand Buddha cave with four grottoes. At this point, visitors can have a glimpse of the statues in the Northern Wei, Tang and Song Dynasties. Shandong Xinhai Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery is located at the eastern foot of Qianfo Mountain and is a provincial key cultural relics protection unit. In addition, there are some sporadic places of interest, such as Tang Huaiting, Seven-character Nine Halls and Jing Yun Zen Temple.
Qianfo Mountain has a long history and profound cultural heritage, and numerous historical allusions have been recorded. For example, the origin of Mount Li was recorded for a long time in Youyang Za in the Tang Dynasty: "The capital of Qi met Mount Li, and there was an ancient iron lock on it, as big as a human arm. About two bottles at the peak. According to legend, the mountain god moves freely in the Zhongshan Gallery in this sea, so the sea god locks it up, closes it and flies here. " There is also a beautiful legend in the stone carvings in Qian Lou Cave: "When Mr. Qian Lou died, he covered a piece of white cloth, which was very small. When he covers his head, his feet are exposed, and when he covers his feet, his head is exposed. Zeng Xi, the grandson of Zeng Shen, a disciple of Confucius, said, "If you cover the cloth obliquely, won't it be covered tightly?" Qian Lou's wife Wei Cong said, "It's better to hide than to hide." . Mr. Wang was tall and straight when he was alive, but he was crooked after he died. How could this be Mr. Wang's original intention? "This story has been passed down to this day as a much-told story.
