Wu Rulun's introduction

Wu Rulun (1840- 1903), a native of Tongcheng County (now Wuniuzhuang, Laoqiao Village, Gonghui Township, Zongyang County), was a writer and educator in the late Qing Dynasty. Four years of Tongzhi Jinshi, awarded the cabinet book. Zeng Guofan, Li Hongzhang's aides, and well-known people from Shenzhou and Jizhou have been here successively. He has been giving lectures at Lianchi Academy for a long time. In his later years, he served as the general teacher of Shi Jing University and founded Tongcheng School. He and Ma Qichang are the main representative writers of Tongcheng School in the later period. His main works include four volumes of Collected Works of Wu Zhifu, one volume of Poems, seven volumes of Letters from Wu Zhifu, twenty-two volumes of Shenzhou Local Records and four volumes of The Journey to the West.
